Just was curious as to how many people make use of this sensor and what kind of impact on battery life do you experience? Is it very noticeable? Also if you don't use it, what do you keep your brightness setting at (i.e. 1-15)?

I normally have it on because it helps with battery life. However, lately I have kept it off and have it set to the default level 9 for brightness because I think the wallpaper, images, etc. just look a lot better and appear more vivid.

normally i set the brightness to lowest indoors. but take it outdoors in direct sunlight you'll appreciate how useful the ALC is. Without it I can't even see the screen to change the brightness manually lol.

I will dim mine myself when indoors an reading, though like Davi23, I prefer it on outside and for the most part I just leave it on.(It is funny it will not auto dim to lowest setting in dark conditions by itself)

Battery hit, is negligible, A poor cell tower signal can eat the difference saved or taken by the light in no time flat.

Good question though.

Not the type to use ALC. I understand how useful it is and all, but I lose the same amount of battery life if I go full blast brightness. Just going max satisfies me quite well.
