Anyone have this problem?

When I try to wake my phone up, I have the soft keys lit up at the top and bottom but a total black screen and nothing is responsive. It takes about 30 seconds for the rest of the phone to wake up.. in that time i'm basically staring at it waiting to make a phone call... it happens everyone once and a while.. but kinda annoying to have to wait to make a call or check my calendar.

can you provide some more info plz so we might get a better understanding of what your situation is..

Is your phone stock? (have you installed any third party apps)
Does this occur after long periods with a soft reset?
Are you using any screen lock software such as S2u2?
Are you closing apps or leaving them open? (could just be a case of your phone being out of free mem)

It just happened yesterday again. Black screen except for the top start menu, and the 3 buttons at the bottom being lite up. Phone is pretty much stock except for 3.5 NET update. There may be one or two apps open in the background like IE.. nothing major. It takes exactly 20-30 seconds for it to wake up.

Think windows computer trying to wake up from a screen saver, and the screen is black for a few seconds.

Is your WiFi on when it goes to sleep?

If so, it has to finish re-connecting or searching networks every time its woken up again, an will stall the screen refresh doing it.

There is a way to enable it to keep Wifi alive in registry, it used to be on by default then it wound up in a tweak program to disable it as some would forget an come back to a dead pda, then WM set it to default Wifi off when screen goes off.

I'm not %100 sure, though I think ATC, Advanced tool configurator 3.0 or 3.3 something like that has the ability to set this back to on, I believe if I remember correctly.

Maybe take a peak if you want it to stay on in your case.

Oh wait, you have an exception?

So you have already dealt with this then, hmmm, then I am not sure what else to suggest to correct screen refresh timing any faster, sorry.

My bad, mis-read this thread twice incorrectly, Glownlow, does yours restart fast or slowed? If so, can you point Marcob to your tweak... I replied to your reply thinking your were o/p, were as, he or she more then likely still has the issue.

poor human multi-tasking today lol
