You could install a virtual machine on Vista (VMware or the FREE microsoft virtual machine), but you will need a licensed copy of XP for that to work. Your best bet is probably to borrow some time on a friend's XP machine; the flash process is very quick and easy...

The official LG v10g upgrade CAN be done on a Vista box however. Just FYI.

Good, bad or "meh" is a matter of opinion - I'd advise reading through this thread on it before deciding:

I flashed Darks Latest IQ Rom on mine using Vista.

Shut of A/V, Ran as Admin, went smooth after proper usb drivers install themselves.

I could not get a Dragonstorm eXpo rom to install while using Vista. I wonder what's different.

I might not have tried if I had not seen you an RC talking about it in a thread, and Dark pitched in that he was using the new flasher on his roms.

Well, I'm switching to Vista for a while to see if I can come up with a cable-free sync procedure. I could try flashing from Vista again. If I can figure stuff out, I might have a couple of tuts to write.  Smiley
