Happy New Year with a late greeting. I was wondering at the moment I am slowly switching carriers from sprint wireless to att wireless. I have Asurion with sprint and just phone replacement plan through att. Current with sprint four lines family plan. Plus the LG expo with. How can I well not filing a claim, but get the expo added on Asurion as the site does not give me any details if they cover this phone. If they do; do they cover too as it say on the site electronics protection the pico projector. I am well spending well over $600.00 dollars because I like mobile entertainment and mobile internet. Maybe there is alternative replacement plan If this ? is asking to much I'll stop.

I just insured my phone through AT&T yesterday. It costs $4.99 per month with a $50 dollar deductible. The representative also told me they cover everything now. Lost, Stolen, Accidental Damage and even Water Damage!! Yes, Water Damage! You should have no problem insuring the phone through Asurion, i'm pretty sure that's who AT&T uses. Also you need to insure it within 30 days of purchase. If you don't your screwed...

lol, nice to see as Canadians, we get a special job..

I have mine insured, actually first time its been available here in CA.

Though, the special parts, Is Asurion only charges $7 clams a month an their deductible, is pro-rated, So from $40-150 deductible, of course, this would be the high end phone to them an the Ded is $150.

Same thing though about how long to add it on to your account, with in 30 days of purchase.
Aparently  the first year, if something ceases to work in normal manufacturers warranty period, they will make you use it first before an insurance replacement can be considered.

So, if it happens, an it happens in that way, i guess mine got eaten by our cats.
Don't forget, we're the land of three year contracts too, so they really make buck off us here..

So, yeah mine is insured, feel good about it too i guess, never have so much as scratched a phone let alone lose or destroy one, but if it should ever happen, now, i am set.

This will be tested my friends. Hopefully I will get the expo back as mine was destroyed in a car accident. Ive had to replace smart phones through att before but theirs one catch. Asurion will give you what they call the "closest to". Expo isn't a super popular phone; bad feelings arise when thinking of making that phone call to replace it. More or less - they don't keep up with new phones.

It's been a lil while, but I too am interested in the outcome.  My expo is insured (at&t network).  Seeing how the phone could be lost or stolen, Ive often thought about having a second expo Smiley, at a much lower price.  However, I would rather not pay upwards of 150 I think i saw for a tilt2, just my opinion.

I insured my fiancee's Pantech Impact with AT&T's plan when I bought it, seeing as I knew her to be unlucky with electronic devices (to put it delicately).

A few weeks ago, the phone was knocked out of her hand by a a person bumping into her, skidded across the ground to be immediately stepped on by a huge man in steel-toed boots coming the other way. Needless to say, the Impact did not survive the impact (pun intended).

Filed the claim through AT&T that night in less than 10 minutes, and received the replacement phone - a new (not reconditioned) pristine Impact that actually had a newer firmware! - within 72 hours. Included was pre-printed RTO label, and just had to drop the busted one in the box and drop off at post office. $50 deductible showed on my next bill.

Easy and painless.
