To add a little more info, I am in the US on at&t and running OS 10.5.8 on a mackbook pro.  I have been tethering with a LG-Vu for about the last year and a half and it works pretty well. Any one have any clue if the modem script that I am using for the Vu will work with the expo? Thanks again, any info is more than welcome.

Hi Good_Stogies_Mon, I don't have an answer for you, though I wanted to welcome you to the forums Wink

Hopefully a fellow Mac user will see this an be able to offer some info.

Anyhow, make sure you check my signature for a tweaker program and custom roms for your phone, if, you want to customize it some.

Anyhow, make yourself at home here on the forums and rocking your new phone.

Peace

Hey WarRaven, thanks for the welcome. Actually I don't have the expo yet, I just ordered it from at&t today so I should have it in a few days. Looking forward to my new toy! I will definitely  be running the tweaks.

I'd be interested in MacBook tethering info as well.

As a die-hard Mac user, I'm new to any Windows interface, so while I am comfortable messing with my Mac, I have no idea what settings on the Expo are applicable.

Well I don't have a Macbook Pro, but I did find a video on how to tether a WM smartphone to a Macbook via bluetooth. The person is using a t-mobile Dash running WM 6.0, but I think the concept should be the same. Here is the video for those interested.

Apologetic disclaimer: I am a tech idiot.

I am guessing the information I need is in this thread:

http://www.LG-Expo.com/lg-expo-how-to/how-to-use-internet-sharing-and-activesync-via-bluetooth/

But I am not quite sure how to make this work.

The instructions in the video Dark posted allowed me to set up my Mac, but I have yet to figure out how to configure the phone properly. Because I don't know what I'm doing, I'm very hesitant to try anything beyond clicking on checkboxes.

Maybe someone who actually knows what they are doing can connect their expo to their Mac.

I downloaded and installed the tweak. Then I went to My devices, made sure the connection to my Mac was authorized, then went to Accessories, clicked on Networking Manager, clicked on Share Internet Connection, selected my computer, and got a message that it was unable to connect.

I made sure that I had a BT connection and PAN is enabled.

Any suggestions?

BTW, the screen sensitivity enhancement in the tweak is fabulous. Thank you.

If you can't plug in a get your programs you want of off your Mac, Email the smaller ones to your phone.

I do that now an then when I don't feel like plugging in for a file or two.

I would for time being, say for "Woodhole's" Tweaker program in my signature, well worth it now imo.

Interesting reading how you guys are syncing with mac's, had no idea an still don't lol.
