Syncing isn't a problem at all. I can't seem to get a connection using a USB cable, but BT works perfectly. File transfer is a breeze, easier than with any other phone I've had.

It's tethering to use the phone as a modem that is proving a challenge for me. I'm sure it's me and not the technology, and hopefully I'll have some time soon to figure it out.

Hi WR,

I have to manually move files over the BT connection, so it's not a perfect auto sync, but it's simple enough that I don't care.

Yeah, I can move files back and forth via BT. I was of the impression that the tweaks had to be run from a windows computer to install. If all I have to do is get them to the phone that should be no problem at all.

Ok I got the pan connection working, here is what I did. Hope I don't forget any thing. Pair the devices using the BT assistant, mine showed up as "LG Monaco", check use this device as a network port when you get to that part on the mac and check allow connections form this device on the phone. On the phone goto Start>tools>internet sharing check Bluetooth PAN and connect then chose your computer and you should be good to go. If you do not have a tethering package I think you will have to install the tweak that changes the data connection to WAP as apposed to ISP. My speeds are close to 1.5 down and .25 up. would be interested to see what others are getting.  Hope this helps!

Good to hear you figured it out. It was a lot easier to setup tethering on my XP box but my speeds are quite similar to yours. Best test I ran was 1.54 down with .38 up.

I have another problim to overcome now. when i switch from OSX to windows or back i have to re pair the computer with the expo. I think i could fix this by spoofing my bluetooth adapters mac address in windows so the  expo sees the adapter as not being the same one that osx is using. Any one have a clue as to how to go about that?

Also you can use an app called WMWifiRouter which turns a WM phone into a Wireless router using Ad Hoc connections...works pretty well and ive used it and gotten way faster speeds than USB and bluetooth...ive gotten up to 1MB a sec

Thanks for the heads up lilg740. Looks like that may be a good choice for what I want to do. I will have to give it a try.
