I just went to the wireless.att.com site to see if they have the eXpo in stock yet.  It is not even listed on the site right now?Huh?

Can anyone else confirm this?

yeah seems like they removed it from their site.  it is still on their business site tho, but currently out of stock still. http://www.wireless.att.com/businesscenter/phones-devices/all-phones/index.jsp?wtLinkName=ViewAllPhones&wtLinkLoc=S1&WT.svl=2

amazon.com has it unavailable, wirefly.com has it out of stock, letstalk.com has it backordered till 2/15/10

In the ATT LG forums, one person said that he was told by a customer service rep that the phone has been discontinued. Hope its just an ugly rumor.

I find that highly unlikely.  I'd guess this rep just generically thought, "well, if it's not on the site any longer it must be discontinued."  The fact that it's still on the business site would also suggest otherwise.

It is curious that it's been removed from the main retail website though.  I have seen this happen in the past with other phones but the ended up reappearing.

Seems like a jab from a non user to me.

Doesn't AT&T market this as a Business class phone, and if they did, wouldn't they push it in them channels first before consumer markets? Like limiting sales to consumers so the Corp users get dibs first.

Like Blackberry used to be, Business class, first an foremost, then they let it go consumer, and rest is history.

Idk,I think its a bad rumor, I can't see it suddenly being pulled off of market without a big stink.

What WR just said makes perfect sense -  when I was first looking for reviews on the eXpo, the only ones I could find were all from people who ordered through the business or enterprise route.

I've been waiting since mid January for my replacement Expo from Amazon 4 different times they notified me that the order had to be delayed. I was supposed to finally receive the phone on Feb 16, now I have another email saying the earliest they can get it to me is JUNE 28, 2010!!
I can't believe the phone is selling that fast. I haven't seen anyone else that has the phone. I work in one of the worlds largest casino/hotels and we have guests from all parts of the globe. All I can see them using are iphones, blackberry, and dumb phones.
I really like my Expo, but an iphone killer it isn't.

Nothing will outsell the iphone, though, many have surpassed it hardware wise, this phone, was not made to compete with it as a media darling, Nor is the BB, and if thats what your expecting from this phone, i suggest you go play with a demo somewhere first before buying it. As the only thing it has in common with it is the chrome bezel around the display, and it makes calls. Wink

I won't edit my other post, I see your waiting for a replacement, my bad  Tongue lol.
That friggin sucks lol.
Maybe we are getting our updates soon.


Now with that said, why does it matter if its not popular?
I very much like the fact its not hugely popular myself.

This phone is fairly unique, its a side slider, its slim, good resolution, tight security, I am so glad, its not in everyones hands, and its a heck of a update over a TP/TP2 in size/speed.
Them as well, were not marketed against the iphone, so this one is no exception.

I just find it hard to believe that the reason it's not available anywhere is because they are flying off the shelves. Not available until end of June is rediculous. It's not only Amazon, it's everywhere.

I think WR is right. I believe an update is on the way. I saw ON wmexperts.com that Acer is releasing two phones. One in March and the other in May which will be running WM 6.5.3. I know LG has been working on 6.5.3 because we saw a LGE branch of development while cooking for the Incite.

FYI, www.amazonwireless.com has the Phone back in stock for $99 with  NEW contract. Seemed they raised the upgrade price to $174.97. As of February 19th, 2010 2:05am.
