First off, I have the AT&T eXpo running Windows Mobile 6.5, and any program used to play YouTube videos does not run them in a quality comparable to my PC.  I have tried the Google YouTube app but, even though videos run smoothly, the bitrate is so bad that I can't really make out what's going on in the video.  Mobile web browsers like IE and Opera just throw the videos into Windows Media Player and it comes out no better, possibly even worse.

I tried Skyfire and receive the opposite problem.  YouTube video quality is sharp and detailed, but it struggles to play the video.  I think it averages around 10fps compared to the 30fps I've expected.  I ran the Task Manager with YouTube playing an HD video and the processor percentage peaked at 77% so I don't know what is throttling the phone's power.  I noticed less stutter lag when plugged in but I think that was more of a placebo effect going on.

I did notice some "videostats" config files n' such in the phone's directory but am not sure what they're for.  I'm assuming they have something to do with the video recorder on the camera and not video playback.
