I can't believe I found a class 6 16 GB Micro SDHC card for such a cheap price. I paid $55.99 on Amazon.com. Plus since it was sold by Amazon I got free shipping. Here is the link for those that want to purchase this.

I'm going to do one as soon as it arrives. One of the reviewers of the product did a speed test against their class 4 8 gb sandisk card. This card turned out to be a little slower, but that was with a single file. I really want to see how it stands up with multiple files.

well that doesnt mean much ether... with a 8gb card when getting the data it has 1/2 the space to look through so it will naturally be faster. Of course this makes it even more important that the bigger cards be of higher class xD.

This is very true. That's why I would like to put it against another 16 gb class 6 card.

I picked up 2 Samsung 8GB Class 6 cards off Amazon for $21 each and got a nice little USB reader for SD micro cards thrown in. First test versus my old 4 GB Class 2 just plain blew it away.  Seek & read times were easily 10x faster and write speed was about 5x faster.

I think you'll be very pleased with a Class 6, and that was a great price for a 16 GB card.

I used to have a class 2 16 gb before it died on me. I paid $45 for it and I'm sure I'm going to be very happy with a class 6 16 gb.

the designation is supposed to be in MB/s of sustained data output or input.

So two class 6 cards are supposed to put out the same speed...  However some manufactures will under rate there card, and some over rate .  Also the card class doesn't comment on file sort/search ops so it is interesting to test with multiple small files - there can be differences there.  YMMV

My card just came today. I got to say that I'm very happy with this purchase. I transferred the entire contents of my 4 GB card (~ 3 GB on the card) to my new card in ~ 4 minutes. Now keep in mind the transfer was done by plugging my old card directly into my computer, plugging my phone in via the usb cable, and transferring the contents via activesync. So far the programs stored on the memory card open very fast and run a lot smoother than the class 2 4 GB card I was using. I haven done any benchmarking tests yet, but plan to soon. If anyone still wants to purchase this I noticed the price is now $61.99. However, that is still cheaper than others of the same class and storage capacity. The only thing that bothers my about this product is that it doesn't come with a storage case, but I have a spare from my 16 GB one and my 1 GB (got that one when I got the Samsung A707 Sync a few years ago when AT&T was still Cingular) that no longer work.

Unfortunately the 32GB is $199 at the moment and only comes in class 2.

I have small loading problems sometimes. Once switching between a text with my gf (which is 600+ txt history) sometimes it freezes up. I only have a 16gb class 2 card. Could this be a side effect of having that class 2 card? Thinking about getting this class 6 if it should clear out intermittent activity such as that.
