Can't find documentation to confirm that the TV out feature on the eXpo is via the micro USB port. The pics of the UG-100 cable aren't clear enough to confirm that it is the micro usb...

Hi there

No guarantees since I haven't had it in my hands, but I believe the cable for us is the LG UTC-200M..

You can see it here..

http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=193787

The UTC-100M is for the viewty/secret/renoir.

Don't know about the UG-100 but suspect it is an other name for the viewty type cable, and therefor wrong.

To fit it should say its a MICRO USB connector.  One other phone that has a a micro USB connector is the Shine II.

should have said too...

I did buy one of the viewty/renoir type cables to on ebay a couple weeks ago to make SURE it didn't fit, and also to give me some cheap parts to try to DIY a video cable...so far still working on the video, and it did not fit as I said....

I CAN confirm that a Shine 2 type headphone connector, is a micro usb connector that does work in our device, and a Viewty/Renoir type connector does not.

Expansys UK will ship to the US and Canada you can call and have them ship through your local (I don't know how expensive this route is)or have it shipped directly( shipping directly is very expensive though as the cable is £16.16 and shipping £25.95 an approximate total of $63.44 USD before and TAX or Duty).

I've placed an order for one and will let you know how/if it works out when I receive it.

I have  the  video cable mentioned in my last post. It works! obviously limited by the RCA output but still... bit of a gamble but it payed off. LG has done a terrible job supporting this phone why should I have to order cables made in Korea from a company which ships them to me from London UK via the US. -insane

Thanks for the post.  I've been looking for a while and didn't want to risk that it wouldn't work.

I agree LG doesn't even seem to acknowledge this phone exists it's crazy the lack of support from them.

Why buy it when you could easily do this?

I'm sure there are those out there that want to use the cable that came with the phone too so they wouldn't want to cut that cable.

One doesn't cut the cable to do this modification - just solder to 2 pads on the circuit board.  Only issue is that I did this and did a nice clean job of it, but the video is the slightest bit blurry and it's in black & white.  I hope that the original poster of the mod could tell us if they know of a way to improve on those 2 issues? or can an owner of the purchased cable tell us the pinout for use with clear color video?

Thank you so much for hosting this site, Dark!
