I use my phone as my GPS in my car, and want to set up my phone to connect to the video input of my car stereo,  like I did with my Touch Pro.  I have a 7" video screen in my car and the added video real estate really added to the viewability of the phone.

Haven't found a cable yet, but the option to turn on TV out is in the software, so I am waiting with bated breath.

If anybody spots one let me know!

ps...
A LG TV out cable for the LG Viewty or others with a 20 pin  LG connector will NOT work as our phones have micro USB connectors.

Would another enabled A/V out program cab. work which forces the A/V signal through the micro usb cable by separating the ear plug from the mic and plug in a 3.5mm pin to composite jacks(RCA) cable

I wonder if the cable will be available around the time the projector is available or if the cable will come with the projector.

Could this work TV Out Cable with Mini USB Socket for LG Viewty Secret
seen at http://www.sourcingmap.com/out-cable-with-mini-usb-socket-for-viewty-secret-p-32117.html. It looks like in the pic the plug end from the headphones. Never have used a LG phone especially of a L LG Smartphone. Do all LG phones lineup have this type of USB plug type.

Could this work TV Out Cable with Mini USB Socket for LG Viewty Secret

Sorry to say, I bought a Viewty cable from eBay for a couple of bucks.  It doesn't fit, but is giving me all sorts of raw materials to play with as I cut it up.

The Viewty uses a different connector..we need a micro usb connector.

Oh yes!!!  Thanks for this tip.

its starting, its starting...

At £15.99 this is not a cheap cable, but not too bad.  This is the first place I have seen the cable online.

Also, unfortunately, the British site showed when I checked it "We have no confirmed lead time for this item - call for more details. "

If it is in stock, I will buy it today...I am wondering though if this cable from LG has a power in port. Shocked  I really need  power in, since the way I will use the cable is have it wired into my car dash, and connected to my car deck.

My plans:
When I got in my car, I plugged in my Touch pro, it started to charge, and output video to the 7 inch screen I have for larger viewing of the GPS maps.  It made my phone a functional GPS as well as easier to read for all sorts of other things too.  And I listened to my music collection from the phone in my car too.  Since the snapdragon is a bit of a power hog (I should add the TP was not exactly stellar in the battery life department either), I need to have my phone powered when I am in the car.  With that setup for me, I really didn't have to worry about battery life with the TP.

Realy, REALY hope with the six contacts available we have on our phone we can have both TV out and power in.  Don't know why someone would design one without that capability, but.....

Best case..this cable has it, and just it isn't shown. Grin

I was looking around on amazon and came across an audio/video adapter for the ipod that connects through a 3.5mm jack. Our phone has an adapter for the 3.5mm jack. I wonder if this will allow use to connect our phone to the tv. Here is the link for those interested.

White cable is the ipod 3.5mm to 2.5mm
Black cable is standard 3.5mm av cable that came with a portable digital tv that I got. The black one did not go all the way in. So no go on that
Look at the length of the pin on both at the (if I did it right) the attachment.

Did the white cable fit fine?

I have the Ipod connector youre talking about, and before reading this i thought of this myself. I hooked it up threw our adapter and held the call button on the mic while plugging it in, it recognized i wanted it to be a video wire and i turned on TV out but when plugged into the tv, nothing.

So, sorry to disappoint but the ipod video cable is a no go... unless someone can change a driver to make it output to it correctly.

Forgot to mention if I ever did the ipod cable(white)is a dexim product that came bundle when I bought the Optoma Pk101pico projector way before the phone was approved by the FCC. It work when I found the $3.65 +registry hack and used white cable on the HTC touchpro. Now if that hack can be modified for the expo then great then maybe problem solve.
