Does anybody know of any working micro usb multi adapters that would allow for charging the phone and listening to music through a wired headset at the same time?

I just purchased a Palm Power/ Audio Adapter for the Treo 800w, which claims to do just that, but when plugging in both the charger and the headset simultaneously, only the charger worked, but individually, they worked just fine.

Can anyone help or suggest anything for this?

I found a great way to work around this.  I just bought the Sonorix C3 Bluetooth transmitter.  Its not only does hands free, but has A2DP as well.  It has a headphone jack so you can use any headphones you want, as well as plugging it in directly into an auxilliary input, say, in your car.  So now I can wirelessly stream my music to my car, while allowing me to charge the phone at the same time.  Music quality is amazing, and a lot of people have said that the voice quality is much better compared to the headset I used to have (plantronix voyager 855 stereo bluetooth headset).  I'm definitely glad I picked it up!

I too am looking for an adapter that I can use to charge the phone while using a headset. The bluetooth reciever idea doesn't work for me since it is expensive and still needs to be charged.
Has anyone tried the Palm Power/Audio adapter for the Treo? You can see the link here http://store.wmexperts.com/palm-poweraudio-adapter/11A75A3923.htm
It is the right size connector and is exactly what I want, but I don't know if it works with the Expo. I may have to return this Expo if I can't figure this out.

I had an HTC adapter that went from my 8525 USB/headphone port and split into two ports. I thought it would work with a mini USB to micro USB adapter. Unfortunately, the port on the 8525 is not quite a mini USB. It is square on one side. So the adapter didn't work and I couldn't plug the adapter in.
I still don't know if the Palm adapter would work, but I don't have time to order it and see.

Hey guys, sorry, but as I mentioned in the first post, i've tried the Palm Power/Audio adapter already, and it doesnt work. I was able to charge or listen through it, individually, but when i tried to do both simultaneously, it would only charge

No one has had any luck with this yet?  I was just looking online for one assuming it existed.  My previous two HTC devices came with said adaptors.

Wireless is not an option when you are on plane.

I suppose I could pick up a couple of extra batteries, but they are $35/each up here in Canada.  Sad

Yeah, this would be great for me as well. I do lots of work on optical backbones for a broadband company, so I'm on the road alot, so naturally I've figured out an alternative. My truck (although great and equipped with 4wd), it only has AM/FM. What I have done is the same bt speaker vanillagorilla did a review (can't remember the model# but it's sony $30 on ebay). Anyway, I have an inverter built in underneath the backseat of my truck, so I have a power strip mounted in between the two seats. I have the bt speaker hidden in my glove compartment (small orb - nicely sized) to accept the bt audio signal. From there it goes line out (miniplug) to a cheapo fm modulator. Works great! I can listen to whatever with no wires, and charge it at the same time.

there is two options..buy one of those bluetooth audio adapters or try and charge the battery by wiring it onto the pins
