Just picked up a neat little A2DP bluetooth speaker from ebay.  It can be powered by either ac adapter or three AA batteries,  and also has a 3.5mm input jack. Dimensions: 11 1/8 x 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 in (280 x 111 x 140mm), under two pounds with batteries. It sounds OK, definitely better than built in speaker on any phone I have used, but not as good as my Motorola S805 headset. It has built in Bass Boost which cannot be turned off so it tends to sound a little boomy. It also lacks AVRCP and speakerphone capability. It gets loud enough for a small room but like all small underpowered speakers, tends to distort at higher volume levels. For what I paid, under $30 including shipping, it does an adequate job.

Also, have you tried using the equalizer app in the Windows directory? it's called Equalizer_App.exe and worked pretty well for me when hooking up to external speakers - just picked a preset that had less bass, although you can set the frequency sliders individually.

Aw, see, well, um . . . I'm still a week away from my upgrade, so I have only tested with my Incite and laptop. I have run music as well as system sounds through it and have not tried using an equalizer when connected to my laptop. Out on the patio or at the golf course, which is mainly where I intend to use it, it sounds pretty good as some of the low end tends to get lost in the sounds of the world. There are probably better sounding options out there, but for 30 bucks, I can cope with some boominess. Might work out better with the eXpo. When I get mine, I'll let you know.

Searched ebay for "bluetooth speaker" and selected "Portable Audio & Video" from the pane on the left. The company mine came from was nobetterdeal. It was a buy it now auction for 23.99 + 4.95 shipping for a new unit. When I just checked, they are selling used units for 21.99 + 11.00 shipping. If you read their auctions, the used item may be missing accessories, which is why I bought the new one. Here's the search page I found mine on:

http://electronics.shop.ebay.com/Portable-Audio-Video-/15052/i.html?_nkw=bluetooth+speaker&_catref=1&_sticky=1&_trksid=p4978.c0.m456&_sop=15&_sc=1

Okay, so I bought one as well. Same link and everything, timely shipping everything arrived as described the speaker works great! My main use for it was extra sound for watching movies/tv on while the projector is playing. While it does do that, I can't control the volume/equalizer at all. I tried the .exe someone mentioned in the windows directory, and while it does bring it up, it changes nothing about the output of the speaker, volume level, eq, nothing. I've downloaded many 3rd party apps for ppc phones, such as equalizer progs, media players, etc... The ONLY thing I can get to control sound is on the divx player I play movies with (which is fortunate). The built in WMP volume tabs just go up and down and can't even mute them. The MobileMediaCenter (3rd party app) volume tabs go up and down and only changes once I hit rock bottom (no sound on speaker). If I hit the volume buttons on the phone, it does nothing at all except move the tabs up and down on the phone.

The screen never goes off once paired to this speaker either, if I hit the top right lock button, it comes right back on. If I hold END to lock it, it still comes back on every 2 seconds.

Please someone have 2 cents to put towards this. Smiley Thanks in advance.
