me and a friend who don't have an Lg have this problem. there is a ticket open at Telus so if you call make reference to it 10377222 the more people who call... the solution is to Turn off data connection and retry to go on the web page you wanted.
it apply to web traffic http https. Not pop3 or smtp so you can synch your Hotmail account

exemple:

I am not sure if this will solve your problem but it did for me.

I have an unlocked Telus LG IQ running on Rogers network.  Phone and mail was working fine but there was two things that did not work:

1.  Pocket internet explorer would not work.  It turns out that Telus has hard coded a hidden proxy so that all data goes through this proxy on IE.

Solution:  Search XDA-developers for "removeHiddenProxy4CWS_0522.cab".  Run this on your phone to remove Telus hidden proxy.

2.  The weather app would work initially but then it would ask for incorrect zip code.

Solution:  Telus has hard coded Data settings that you cannot change.  You can add a Rogers Data/MMS etc setting manually and it will work initially.  Best solution is to remove the Telus data setting.  Search XDA-developers for "Lurch3559-Rogers.cab".  Run this on your phone to remove Telus Data settings and replace it with Rogers Data settings.

I spent a few frustrated hours to arrive at these solutions.  Enjoy!

What tools are you referring to?  I could not find the app called "proxy manager" in my Telus branded LG IQ.
