Wi Fi Question

I just got my LG Expo, works fine for the most part, 3G service can be spotty but the WIFI is great, especially in my house.

I have a question thoug about the WIFI, when I plug my phone into the USB port of my laptop to charge the phone, the WIFI shuts off. Under wireless manager and WIFI it shows "Link Down"

Any idea how to fix this so I can charge my phone through my laptop but also access WIFI.

Where it would normally show my signal info it is showing 2 arrows, "active sync"

I believe you would need to open the connection properties for Active Sync and enable the option to allow your phone access to the internet while Active Sync is in use.

Under Windows 7 (Mobile Device Center)

Locate Mobile Device Settings --> Connection Settings and check the box "allow data connection"

I really dont want to use Active Sync, I am not familar with it at all, when I plug the phone in I just want to charge the phone through USB, how do I go about turning off active sync?

I downloaded windows mobile device center to laptop and there was an option to "allow data connections when connected to pc", I am connected now, thanks all!
