just tonight i launched my camera app and it shows a blurry picture and the whole phone freezes and phone is non responsive. i know that just the other day it worked fine. i have tried everything. i hard reset and tried to restore all my stuff and the camera app did the same thing. before i did a restore the camera app was fine also with an older restore but i have since added many things to my phone.

anyone know how to restore the settings or camera app files or anyone having a similar problem. it happened since i was playing with exe files in the windows directory.

I can also confirm this to be true, as I launched QCameraApp for the first time just yesterday, and today the LG camera client began randomly freezing.

Yes I too have had the camera freeze after I played with the qcamera app in windows folder. I noticed that I enabled the auto lighting control which disabled ALC on my phone. I noticed my screen got brighter. The camera function kept freezing as described above even after a soft rest. I went to my power configuration and enabled ALC once again, did a soft reset and camera worked again. Hope this helps

Very interesting. I just played with qcam and it froze the regular cam too. I couldn't get any pictures from it. The screen was completely black. There was a qcam on the Incite too, but it was basically a modified version of the regular camera. It never worked correctly either. With disable software enabled it stopped you from using it. I would guess the same is true on the eXpo. I just tried the ALC fix, but it didn't work. I just ended up doing a restore which did the trick.

On a good side note, the qcamera has a toggle switch for the flash. This could be basis for someone to make a program to use the flash as a flashlight.

i wish i knew what file a restore restores to fix the problem because i would like to use both apps and post a fix for yall. the qcamera app seems better for video and regular camera app is good for regular pictures. playing with qcam i made some nice 30fps mp4 videos that looked better than ones from the regular camera app. im glad a restore helped you...

cool maybe we can find a reg key for the flash so it can be a flashlight. one of the things that comes in handy loved it on he fuze. only other thing i miss from my fuze is having a stylus that was also a pen but we will never find a fix for that.
