Loose connection, or it over heated i'd say.

I can make mine pretty damn warm charging, put it in a low signal area try an see how warm she gets.

Good to hear she came back to you though, good news. Wink

IDK about overheating, it always cools back down after the battery is charged. The weird thing is I tried last night after he sat all day. Stone cold and it still wouldn't work. I already have another dragon on the way but maybe I can use my eXpo tomorrow instead of that pos go phone. Took me 3 Incites to get a keeper. At this point it's only 2 eXpos.

Update: Shruikan, the new eXpo, was delivered before 10 am pdt. Pretty quick considering the support call was after 5 pm pdt the night before last. I have not been home yet but Apophis has been good all day. Tethering to post this, so nice to be connected again, I don't think I can ever go back to a phone. I will be interested to see the terms dealing with the return. If I've got a couple of days to get it shipped, I'll probably continue to use Apophis while I wait for my Invisible Shield. The seller claims that it must have been lost in the mail (frackin' USPS stickin' it to me again) and they will ship me another one. But that's another story.

Glad to hear everything worked out. Kind of funny that it works once the new one arrives. Oh well.

Update # 2.
So when I got home there is a brand spankin' new dragon curled up on my bed. Just the eXpo, no paperwork. But new, not a refurb. Pretty happy with the service from Amazon Wireless, probably get all my future upgrades from them. According to an e-mail from them, my original eXpo has to be received by July 14. Plenty of time to get the new one set up just right.

Over clock original Dragon, wear battery down, plug in to charge on mains, set phone on its back on a soft surface, set it up so it has all the ingredients to overheat.

Try an repeat the earlier result might be a good idea now.

You know, as a Mechanic, sometimes you have to stress test stuff Cheesy

Edit: I bet you trip thermal cut off on battery, Do you live in a warm climate too Vanillagorilla?

It's not that warm. Sunday was only 94F, Monday 88, Tuesday, the day it came back, was 84, so was yesterday. The Saturday before the incident was 96 and the Friday it was 94. Fri/Sat I charged it during the day and took it off the juice as soon as it was done, Sun I left it to go all night. It has charged from almost nothing to full three times now since the incident, including being plugged in all night last night. I'm going to wait to stress test it until after I have protection on the new one. I used the overclocking app to set it to a constant 998 MHz, but might just try to see what it can do as fast as she can.

The new eXpo is all skinned up and ready to face the world. Gotta work on my day off again this week. Will find some time this weekend to torture the first eXpo. Probably flash back to stock rom and load just load the overclocker to torture it.

Heh, why not? What's the worst that can happen - it breaks and you have to send it back?  Wink

So Apophis is in the mail on his way back to Amazon. Did a hard reset and put all the accessories from the second eXpo in the original box. I overclocked it, streamed video over wifi while charging on a pillow. Did not get a repeat performance of the error. Don't know what it was but both eXpos have been rock solid since the first one came back.
