Ok solution,

To shut off, Sent SMS notification, you can do it two ways,
first edit this,

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\SMStext \
--- change DLL to "htmlnote.dll"

You have to do this an return to vanilla threaded messaging to beat the sent sms notifications pop-up.
Then to shut off the pop up after every sent sms, edit this,(or second way, grab "Dark's Sounds an Notifications cab here at LG-Expo.com)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\settings
Add a D-Word Key "SMSNoSentMsg" and change its value to 1.

Now i believe "Dark's" Sounds an Not cab has option to just unselect it in the sounds an notifications tab in wm system like normal an easiest, if they still pop-up, hit that reg key.

Many thanks Harpboy at XDA for finding this important key for us to use, You da man. Grin

Peace

WR

That would explain why the bleedin' thing wouldn't give me a "sms sent" notification after I returned it to the windows text messaging interface. I had to re-do the

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\setting and go in and change "SMSNoSentMsg" and change its value to 1. It was already there though, which is odd that you had to create it.

I guess enabling old messaging somehow re-activated the smsnosentmsg option. Makes me wonder if it somehow messed with my data connection and caused that random connect issue. Or it could just be registry gnomes.

Hehe, your the first one i have met that wants that sms sent notification.

I personally hate it, it gets in the way an slows things down for me, i guess though, ymmv.

So if you shut it off because of my post, my bad.. for me, it was a kill two birds with one stone fix, vanilla threaded messaging and no, sms sent pop-up restored.

Or have i misunderstood this? Because before Dark's cab, i've always tweaked it off thro Reg, now with the cab, theres two ways. sorry if wasn't clearer.

Wait what? this post? http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=13420018

No it just shut off automatically when I did that guy's fix I put there. I had to find some other suggestion on how to re-enable it, but i am guessing you found the same one. I think it was from that wiki I posted in another post. who knows, all i know is that the ugly sms interface is gone and my sms notification is on.

The reason I use it is because my boyfriend is on virgin and claims that my messages sometimes never arrive. I want to confirm that it sends on my end before i blame his crappy phone. Dunno tho, could be network issues.

I don't know if this is causing it, but one way, would be revert back to stock an run it for a day an re-evaluate?

At any rate, i've seen too few time to consider it out of control yet.( that can change in a hurry lol)

Ok, so, got my interest up on it too, lets keep your thread or this one updated as find stuff.
