I am about to get a new phone and the Expo is what i am thinking i will get or the Tilt2.

I have the LG Incite With WM6.5 (Dark Wolf 23069 - Final 2)  "Thanks Dark for the great work!!"

so in some ways i am weary about LG because the incite had screen sensitivity issues with the accelerometer off, and when it was on it would just make me mad with the lag time on rotation.

Some thing i would like to know before i commit to another LG phone is that they fixed or improved some things.

(1) First i would like to know about the screen sensitivity.  is it responsive or do you really have to press on it? does it freeze up?

(2) Another thing i would like know is how is the response on the accelerometer? Does it rotate quickly? or is there a lag?  The LG Incite had a lag. also sometimes it would rotate when i didnt want it to rotate.  Thats why i turn it off.  what kind of accelerometer does it have? is a g-sensor??  like the newer HTC phones and the iphone have?  where you can play games that you tilt the phone to control the game??  Like a Nintendo Wii??
does it work in SPB when you tilt or move the phone?

(3) Also i would like to know about the weather app.  Does it show you the current weather conditions on the today screen?  Like the HTC hreo or other HTC UI's?  or like the original LG weather in the wm6.1?  I dont like the idea of having to open another app or change from my home/today screen to see the current weather like you have to do on alot of the 3rd party weather apps out there.

Any major bugs or even little ticks you notice?  Most of the reviews i found online are just quick ones, not reviews made after the user has used the phone for some time.  Has LG done any of the dumb things apple did by locking the phone so it dont preform to its fullest.  (example: apple not allowing video) things like that are BS.

also I use Garmin. Not the crap AT&T try to charge you for.  Why pay AT&T for something you can have for free??

Can i use the Expo as a WIFI Router?? to theater the internet connection. Or do i have to use the usb?

another thing, on the incite has a proximity sensor (it sucks!!). how is it on the expo? when you are using the phone and you need to quickly respond to a phone tree by entering numbers, does the screen wake up quickly when you take the phone away from you ear?  Does the phone wake up fast in general?

1. The responsiveness isn't the best out of box, but once it is tweaked it is pretty good. I can easily flick through things or click on something. There may be a freeze every now and then, but that's a WM thing. I only had it freeze on me once since owning it.

2. The accelsensor is very fast on this phone. It is almost instant. There is about a 1 second delay. Unfortunately, just like the Incite it is locked down so no g-sensor. However, I saw a post either here or on xda with someone working on getting it enabled. I can't answer for SPB since I haven't tried it on this phone yet.

3. For the weather you can access easily if you are using the LG Idles UI. At the bottom of the screen there are a set of panels. In one of the panels there is a button for the weather. If you press it a window will open on the today screen showing the weather. You can set it to automatically update or you can manually update it. If you are using the titanium UI you will need to install something like showaco's titanium weather to see it on the today screen.

If you're worried about Garmin, it works on the eXpo too. I noticed that AT&T changed the settings for Internet Sharing so it won't connect unless you have a tethering plan, but there is a tweak to fix that. it can be found in a cab or in Woodhole's tweaker program; which has a lot of other tweaks too.
The program can be found here:

As for little ticks I've noticed is the there is sometimes a problem with threaded messaging, but that is a WM tick and not something because of the phone. Also the fingerprint sensor is a bit fussy. I think it's a software issue which I'm hoping will be fixed when we get an update. As for using it as a wifi router I'm not sure. I haven't tried, but i believe you should be able to.

Lastly the proximity sensor is a lot better than the Incite. I've noticed only a 1-2 second delay. Hope this helped and let us know what you decided. Either way you'll be getting a great phone.
