When I plug into a USB, the red charge light comes on and the display shows charging state, and if you click on the battery indicator, it also says charging, but if you leave it connected you will see the capacity decrease instead of increasing.  LAst night, I ran it down to almost fully discharged state. Huh

Hi there msouhlas Smiley

The pc charging works, but you have to remember that it the pc an some usb chargers, only put out 500 mah, this can be easily overcome by the phones power demands depending on what your doing.

If you shut down Active sync, then shut screen off, an check a hour later, you'll see it building a charger more rapidly off of the pc.

I seen this behavoir streaming BT audio in my truck an plugged into usb charger there, but if i shut off the screen an un-needed programs running in background while i stream, i gain more charge then lose.

Though the wal-wart charger puts out 1ah(1000mah) of power an can provide power, charge some at same time.

She's a little devil alright.

I noticed this on mine as well, but I actually started turning off the screen when I connected it to the computer. With my tilt it would charge really slow, but it would still charge. I have my phone to keep the light on when plugged in, but that will actually drain the power even while plugged in. It's not as fast as if were unplugged, but still...

I actually get better charging using my "e-sata/sleep and charge usb" port on my laptop, so use that if you have one.

I have the same problem with my phone. The battery gets very hot and discharges rapidly when plugged into the PC. No problems with the wall charger. It acts like there is a short or possible reversed polarity when connected to  a PC. Also, unable to sync. Got it to sync one time, after several attempts and HARD RESETS. After that, it kept constantly connecting and re-connecting. Tried it on 3 PC's with 3 different OS's( XP, Vista, and Win 7) and 2 USB cables, used different USB ports, changed settings, etc., all with the same results.
I have started a thread on my problem here :

I gave up and am having the phone replaced with a new one

Sure does sound like a bad connector.

Though, i'm wondering if, the CP wasn't pinned during every attempt at a A/S connection, an that will easily overpower the charge rate of the PC.

Plugged in wal-wart, no A/S locking the CP up, so no problem...

Just pondering aloud.

Don't think so? I had at least 40mb or more of processor memory during sync.

That's not really an indicator of usage percentage, though task manager shows it.

Use the default Wm Task Manager, and view process's and usage there...

Though, i suspect its hooped anyways, can try for curiousity i guess.
