I am getting no sound for SMS and email notifications even though the sound is set.  It doesn't even vibrate when set to.

Try doing a soft reset. Sometimes my phone does this and all I have to do is reset it. If a soft reset doesn't work try a hard reset. If that still doesn't work you may have a hardware problem and might need to do an exchange.

As always, good suggestions from Dark. BTW, welcome to the forum. I'm sure you will find what you need to make your Dragon fly strong. Once you get the notifications sorted out, check out Woodhole's tweaker app. It's a serious must have. There's a link in Dark's sig. If you need to trim the fat on your shiny new friend, check out the rom section. We have many talented chefs. Anyhow, have a look around and have some fun with that beast.

Hi TypeO, Welcome to the forum as the guys said..

Did a reset work and make it work ok again?

Are both volumes turned on, one for notifications an one for ringer?

Mystery solved.  Turns out the sounds for all notifications setting was off.  Turned it on but I had to reset because it said the ringtone was corrupt (this happens often).

I've lost a couple of ringtones to corruption. I just replace them with a good copy & reset. Glad to hear you figured it out. That's part of the fun with Windows Mobile.

Glad to see you figured it out and that it didn't take going to the extreme by hard resetting.

Interesting,.. I have never had a corrupt sound file from being used on WM.

Dual ringer controls can be troublesome, especially if you have a gui that wants to control the volume as well.

Glad its working.

Peace
