Hi all anybody  have information about the projector pinout ?
I buy the projector form ebay and would like to used it with out the phone
on the picture the pins is only 8 pins i try to disassemble the projector and find
out information of the chips on the PCB it used DLP chip from Texas instrument
p/n ddp1505 and check the wiring on the PCB just know only power supply pin +
& - as picture

unless they use s-video type of output i think there are too many pins there. analog video can be done with one cable, we all know that, then theres powers pins which are 2 at least. i also think theres a flag pin that tells the phone when the lid is open(active) or closed(unactive). other stuff like that.

I am trying to figure out the same thing , here is a link to the Pico chip schematic if that is of help to anyone with EE experience. The projectors are going for very cheap on Ebay right now.

Looking at the schematic, it looks like the phone is communicating with the projector digitally.

It's doing pulse-width modulation to transmit RGB888 (24-bit color). Looks like it might even be using I2C (inter-integrated-circuit serial bus) for control. Yeesh.

Good luck connecting that to anything other than the phone. If you can, LG might offer you a job.

Thanks for your answer, it is much appreciated!

I'm going to keep digging for a solution. It would be a shame to have these mini projectors go 
to waste if there is a way to light them up independent of the phone.
