hes saying that he wants to be the soul distributer, cooking into a rom or sharing is redistributing.

its his app as hes distributing under these condition, redistributing is breaking these conditions.

So will games like Experiment13 and Xtrakt work?  Is a third application required to calibrate the accelerometer?

If they use the HTC g-sensor lib they should work. No calibration should be needed, if one is its the one for the lg expo. Does the expo come with a calibrator?

Not that I know of.  Reading about those 2 games they came from the Sony Xperia and I guess they work on HTC phones as well but I can't get accelerometer functionality out of either of them.  I had to disable auto-rotation on both of them as well because it was making the games go nuts switching back and forth because they are naturally landscape and holding the phone in landscape was making them try to go portrait.  Shame, they both seem like really cool games.  I'll see what else I can find to play with in a bit.

Well I got a bug of some sort.  Everything will rotate using accelsensor fine until I use it for something like the game Boing.  After that nothing will auto rotate anymore without a soft reset (it will continue to work for Boing though, go figure).

Do I need to do some kind of registry editing to make auto rotation start using the HTCSensor or something?

Not sure yet what is going on there with the auto-rotation. With my beta tester (as stated I don't actually have an Expo) I have reproduced the issue, though. I will be looking to fix it, but as of yet I'm not sure how, yet.

Well I found that if I go to the sensors and turn accelerometer off and back on the LG accelerometer works like it should so that stops the soft resets.

I was getting feedback that Tweaker was being affected by the G-Sensor cab. and figured it be best to go directly to the source and figure out if the two apps did in fact cross paths. After contacting Chainfire the two apps don't cross and his doesn't touch the registry keys as Tweaker does. It relies on the LG gsensor libraries. That would explain why a soft reset places the autorotation settings back to normal as the LG libraries override the reg. keys without affecting them at times. That being said he does have some questions that hopefully you guys can help with. This could improve the functionality of his G-Sensor cab.

Here's a portion of Chainfire's reply...

------------------------------

"... I have asked these questions before, but nobody seems to bother answering them, so I pretty much abandoned fixing it:

(1) Uninstall my CAB. Uninstall SPB Mobile Shell if you have it. Try the "Ferrari" game that comes with the device. Does auto-rotation stop working after you exit Ferrari as well ?

(2) Can somebody perform tests to see whether auto-rotation stops working at the _start_ or at the _end_ of using a g-sensor program ?

This will give me some much needed info, after which I may be able to build a test CAB with some reg settings you can change to test out the effects, to see if that changes things.

Thanks,
Chainfire"

------------------------------

I'm relying on you guys to provide feedback as you've helped me out in making Tweaker what it is. Lets help Chainfire help us with one of the most sought out tweaks for our device's by providing him feedback.

Thanks!

Well I hope someone that has these games installed will throw some feedback here.

I believe it was one of us here that originally pestered Chainfire into helping us with this issue, Lets get on this please.

I have no games installed or the sensor lib, I would be starting from scratch to go through the routine.
