Anyone know how to stop that annoying beeping sound the phone makes after a txt is sent?
And can it be done w/o using a registry editor?

Not yet.

Theres no cab to remove this yet on our LG's.

Its hidden in registry, i have been looking but not found the correct spot/key.

Keep watching.

First you will need to install my Sounds and Notifications Restore cab. After that Go to start menu>settings>sounds & notifications. Choose the notifications tab and click on the event box. Scroll down to Messaging: SMS Sent Notification and uncheck play sound. If you want to disable the sound or change the sound of when you receive a message go to Messaging: New text message in the event box and uncheck play sound or choose a sound from the drop down box next to that check box.

The cab can be found attached to the following post:

http://www.lg-expo.com/index.php?topic=39.msg51#msg51

This will also let you set a few other notifications that were left out for some reason.

Dark, This does not work, have you used it on yours, or just from HTC's from prior?

This enables missing sounds, that are controlled through Lg's Idles messaging interface in settings.

It does not, stop, silence or have any effect on the Sent SMS notification.

At least not on the IQ version.

I have printed out the three areas where this notification can be stopped normally an where the actuall notificatio exists, but is completely ignored by Idles.

Thanks friend.

Do note, theres 3 areas in the Reg where this can be done, not one of them works on my IQ (Telus).

But like Dark said, It worked for him, and maybe its just my LG having a Reg issue.

Like you said, that is the normal HKEY to normally shut off Sent Sms Notification.

I have mine pretty tweaked already, though im thinking a hard reset an retest today to see if its a one off glitch or a repeating problem.

Peace

I have used it on mine. It worked like a charm. I do have the AT&T version, but I don't think that should make a difference. Perhaps there is something weird going on with your reg like you mentioned in a your previous post.
