My phone was unlocked in my pocket but when I took it out it was locked and I can't get it to let me scan my fingerprint to unlock it and I don't know my pin code so my phone is now useless! Has anyone else had this problem? Reset button doesn't work, do I just send it back and lose everything I have in my phone? Any suggestion's on what I could do please help, I've tried everything I can think of. If this is a repost I apologize I'm on my LG Shine, if you've ever used the internet on one then ya know it would have taken me hours to search through every post on here, and there's no search option.

Quick question, is your phone not recognizing your finger print? Or is the lockscreen not really responding?

It won't even give me the option to scan my finger, it use to take me several tries to get it to recognize my fingerprint anyway but now it won't even give me the option of scanning my finger

What do you mean by "reset button doesn't work" ?

Have you power cycled the phone and tried again?

Have you tried the typical "default" PIN (all zeros, consecutive numbers, etc) in addition to what you might have set it to?

Worst case you can wipe the phone via hard reset:

You'd lose your data but the phone would be accessible again

So the phone doesn't let you use it at all after start up? Or is the scanner just not working when you want it to?

I goofed up my phone once with too many attempts with the incorrect password.  I ended up calling ATT, and they reset the password remotely after verifying my identity.  I did not lose any data.
