I have checked the manual as well as tried to use the fingerprint reader for scrolling (does it also work as mouse).

Is there some tricks on how to use it?

I called LG Customer Support in Canada, they were useless, they claim mine is broken and send it in for repair.

Last I heard, Telus has advanced swap program.

This is now my 3rd LG IQ, 2 out of 3 have had issues, I think this will be last LG product I purchase. I will stick to Samsung or HTC

2/3 bad? sounds kinda odd. I havent had a single problem with mine(idk about anyone else). The fingerprint scanner was engineered badly imo. Its recessed and this makes it hard to use for scrolling. If u press down further with ur finger tho it should work fine, just not as easily as it should.

'Can only say that mine works as expected too.

It scrolls, emails, in emails, web pages, pictures, media an text etc.
Also use the scanner as the its intended for the lock now with out much issue.

Actually had to turn down the sensitivity of it as it was too much, I set mine down one on Sensitivity an 2 down on scroll speed or its way to fast lol.

I am so far, very impressed with the overall quality of the phone, I may get another here in a couple months for one of my other lines, this is Easily hands down on par with any HTC i have ever owned an thats a couple.

LG CS, is kinda like emailing a refrigerator repair center Imo.

I have to agree with WR. My sensor has worked great and the phone is a great phone. Try changing some of the settings to see if you get better results.

Ok, my fingerprint sensor works great as a scroll bar, but maybe I'm just being dense, how do I setup the scanner as a lock mechanism using my fingerprint? Nothing in the quickstart guide about it. Looked at the setup through LG Idles and it shows settings for sensitivity. I haven't found anything throught the default setup.  ONce again, I'm being dense.

Lead Head out.
