How To Change Language On GW825V Telus. (Unlocked)

Just Updated From 10c To 10d (LGMobile update) 58mins
Selected Canada And English From Updater Then Software Did The Rest...

Now Phone Boots Up In Chinese Language...

No Clue On What To Do....Fiddling For About 1hr And Half Now With Manual And Settings  Still No Juice...

Any Help Would Be Thankfull.

Do you have a GW825 or GW825V?  The GW825 is the LG IQ from Telus.  The GW825V is a Chinese version of this phone.

Hmm, strange.

Here is what I have on the box that my Telus IQ came in....

GW825 (at the top of the label)
SKU: HLGGW825

The phone itself has...

FCC ID: BEJGW825
GW825 (beside the S/N barcode)

Are you saying yours has GW825V written somewhere on it?

I ask because the GW825V is a Chinese model of this phone.  If the LG update software believes you have this model, it may have loaded up the Chinese firmware.  You can try it again or load a different stock ROM manually.  There are also a couple of custom ROMs to choose from here in the forums. 

If you need me to upload you a copy of one of the stock ROMs, let me know.

I Used ATT Gw820 To Flash... Then On A Cell phone Box Selected GW820 And Flashed Gw825 Ver 10c... Everythings Fine Now...

Software On Phone Before Was GW825V (10c) - Telus Startup Logo...
Now It's GW825 (10c)

Reason For Flashing Was I Could Not Use Custom Ringtones And Still I Cannot.

Used Reg Tool For Enabling Extended Ringtone...But Still Confused On Going About Using MP3 Ringtone...

Thanks For Your Help...

I Will Fiddle Around A Bit More For Custom Ringtones...

Well I'm glad you got it working (language wise).

As for ringtones, what all do you want to do.  I still have v10c on my phone so I copied an MP3 to my phone (My Documents), then used the context menu (hold down until menu pops up) to "Set as Ringtone".  Now the MP3 is my ringtone.

Are you trying to do something different?
