There is another way to hard reset. Make sure the phone is loaded up, go to start menu>settings>system and choose clear storage. After that follow the instructions on the screen.

You mind telling me how to do that if I can't even boot it properly?

No luck through the updater program. I just did a hard reset (after doing a backup of course) to see if I was able to do one and it worked fine. I think you may need to get a replacement. If I can think of anything else I'll let you know.

There should be a one year warranty. I think you may have to go through LG to get it replaced though.

Yes I can load emergency download mode perfectly fine. Do I just put it in that mode and execute the exe while connected to the computer?

If you are using Win7 remember to run it as an admin and in xp compatibility mode. If you are using vista you will run into issues unless you use a virtual machine. It works fine in xp.

Okay I ran on admin, then it somehow errored up and gave me the send info option. Tried again then had something say about not opening properly. How long should it take to flash it normally?

I'm running win7 and I'm not seeing any changes. In the device manager, When i plugged my phone it had that LGE with the little caution sign to the bottom right. Is that why my phone can't be detected on my computer?

Do you have the LG modem drivers installed. If you don't try running the updater without the phone plugged in and it will give you the option. Also run it in xp compatibility mode. I'm hoping that your phone isn't having problems communicating with your computer. If that's the case a firmware reinstall won't work.

I just tried running the updater package and it told me that the software didn't need updating. I'm going to look into a way around this.
