First you need to turn on bluetooth on your phone and make sure the bluetooth device on your computer is visible. Next pair your phone and your computer. During the pairing process you will see options for Bluetooth Networking and ActiveSync. There will be a checkbox next to each. Check them and press ok. After that go to bluetooth settings and scroll over to My Devices. You should see your computer listed there and should be an option for Bluetooth Networking and ActiveSync. To use ActiveSync click it and hit connect. If you are using the fingerprint lock then the lock will active. All you have to do is unlock it and ActiveSync is ready to go. To disconnect hit disconnect in the lower left hand corner. Now for Internet Sharing make sure that you have the Internet Sharing tweak installed first (eXpo users only, IQ users don't need to worry about that). You can find the tweak in Woodhole's tweaker app which can be found here:
http://www.lg-expo.com/third-party-lg-expo-applications/expoiq-tweaker/

After that go to the bluetooth settings menu and scroll over to My Devices. You will see your computer and under it Bluetooth Networking. Click it and click connect. Now you will see a dropdown box and select  Share Internet connection and click continue in the lower left had corner. To disconnect click Menu in the lower right hand corner and click remove.

For those members using unlocked expos on non at&t carriers you will find that when you try an share an active 3G connection via bluetooth your expo will try and conect to the default MediaNet connection, which of course won't work.

Without registry editing, the easiest way to resolve this is to install Dark's enable media net settings cab (search for it within the forums). After installing go to connections and edit the media net settings to your apn settings without changing the name.

This will resolve your agps trying to connect to media net as well if you havent already disabled this.

The other alternative is hunting down the appropriate registry values and modifying them. However, I found the above to be the easiest fix.

Can't seem to get the Activesync to show up as a service for my laptop...hmmm.

Aslo does this process work with using the phone as the connection to the internet?? (NOt using the lattop as the connection, I want this to work as the cell phone is the connection to the network)

Thanks, Tracy

I've also followed all the above steps to the T.  I can see that it says on the computer's bluetooth folder that the LG Monaco is connected with network access.  My question is, if it says i'm connected, how do i now connect to the internet using the laptop if the said connection is active?  Thanks for all y'alls help.  I really appreciate it.

Remember to use the Internet Sharing App!
Once you start you will have a couple of setting
First you choose what you are going to connect with...USB/BLUETOOTH
Next which APN you are going to connect with..MediaNet/ISP
Last on the bottom the "Smart Buttons" hit the Connect
At this point should be able to browse using your connected computer..

i'm constantly using this feature as I travel much and have to sit at airports.  paying their fee to surf blows so this bluetooth connection to the phone and making the phone as a modem is GOLD!
