1. how do i get my wallpaper to be 1single pic not the screen covered in the same pic??
2. how do i change the ringers or tones for email, texts ext with my tones, not the ones that came with the phone? I dont have a tab for email to change it...

First off, hello and welcome to the forums! Smiley

(1) Just make sure your wallpapers are sized properly (i.e. 480X800 or 800X800) then find it "Pictures and Videos" click on it and in the right soft key menu you'll see "Set as Today background" option.

(2) You'll need to be able to use cabs so you can solve this problem, all you have to do is:

- download the CAB file onto your computer
- plug your phone into your computer and transfer the CAB file over (using data cord that came with)
- open "File Explorer" on your phone, navigate to where you saved it, and then click on the CAB file to execute it.

You can find the CAB file you need here:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-themes-ring-tones-and-free-wall-papers/restore-missing-sounds-and-notifications-options/

Hope this helps! Any more questions feel free to ask Smiley

Hi Angie Smiley

Your not dumb, its just new to you, take it easy  Wink

So you grabbed Darks Cab file to enable missing sound options, and your trying to get it onto the phone, and I assume, you can't get a stable connection to your PC,(Which can be common with active-sync) ?

As a temporary work around, you could email yourself the cab, I do that when I am not in the mood to plug into my PC for just one or two files.

Though for now, Can you tell us how your trying to transfer it and where its failing you.

We'll get you going one way or another.

i have installed the cab onto my phone,  the install was successful,  what do i do next in order to change text, or email sounds.  After install, i tried to change, but the same old crap is still there and no new sounds or anything.  Some guidence would be nice on what to do next.

- The CAB file allows you to choose your own customized sounds/ringotnes only. i.e. It does not add any new sounds to the existing ones, it just gives you the option to now pick from any sound file you wish.

- Just add any mp3 files you want to use onto your storage card/phone and they will be availiable to select in START > SETTINGS > SOUNDS AND NOTIFICATIONS (under the notifications tab at the bottom.)

Hope this helps! Any more questions feel free to ask Smiley

Hi Angie,
Two questions come to mind:

1) how big are the MP3 files you are selecting?
1a) If they are over 300k, have you installed either Woodhole's Tweaker program and enabled the extended ringtones, or have you installed the tweak located here: http://www.lg-expo.com/index.php?topic=63.0  ?

2) Where are you putting the MP3's on your phone you would like to use?

Yeah mp3 files have to be placed in specific locations to show up to be selected:

- I put mine into the root directory of my storage card (works for sure)
- I believe it also works if you put them into "My Ringtones" folder on phone itself
- There was another place but I can't remember at the moment... Huh

I put all mine in the root directory of my storage card as well. Would take up too much room on the device if I didn't!

Ok. wait a minute: are you trying to change the sounds from the LG menu from within the text messaging screen (right softkey Menu) or from the Windows Mobile Sounds & Notifications menu (START - Settings)? The LG menu will only ever show the preloaded sounds. Set that to ''None'' and go to the Start Menu - Settings - Sounds & Notifications to pick what you want.
