I recently bought 2 different bluetooth headsets and seem to be unable to pair either. I purposely picked up one v2.0 and one 2.1, hoping that one of them would work. When I put either in discovery mode and try to find them on the IQ, it just simply never "finds" them. Any suggestions? Has anyone else had problems like this? Has anyone successfully connected either V2.0 or 2.1?
If it changes anything, I am with Telus.

Hahahaha so it turns out I'm stupid. My brother connected both of them in about 30 seconds..

On a side note though, does anyone know if it's possible to set the IQ music player to play music through my bluetooth piece?

Hmm, I've never used the built in music player, but as long as the phone recognized your headset as a A2DP device (stereo headset) it should work just fine.

I've used my Nokia Bluetooth headset to listen to music (Windows Media Player) without a problem.

But how would I set it to play via my earpiece and not the built-in speakers?

I'm not 100% sure about the IQ but the eXpo can play audio through any hands free capable bluetooth device. Go into comm manager, bluetooth settings, expand advanced, click on audio and put a check in the box for Play system sounds on remote hands-free device. It will then send all audio through the headset when connected. Sorta. Music will still prefer a stereo connection if it's available.

Hmm I don't actually know where comm manager is (though I feel like I've seen it before and for curiosity's sake, where is it?) but getting through the bluetooth settings to audio gives me the same option. But even with that clicked my music doesn't come through the bluetooth headset.
When you say stereo do you mean the speakers? Because the only way I can think to disable that is to silence/vibrate the phone, which means no sound out of the earpiece or the phone :S

Stereo bluetooth, like headphones or a car stereo. Anyway, if the box is checked, you should get all audio through your headset. I don't know what else you could try.
