Hello everybody!

I noticed some postings talking about right-clicking (i.e. when choosing the option to set an mp3 file as a ringtone) but I can't see how that's is possible since the interface with the phone is either one of your fingers or the stylus! Also, I would like to know how to select multiple files by dragging the stylus/finger on the screen (very useful when creating song's playlists). I know it is possible because I have done before by accident but when I try to do it again it just fixes the "point of contact" between the stylus and the screen and moves the whole screen instead. Any help woul be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Hi an welcome to the foums.

I think maybe your mixing up a file explorer capabilty in windows mobile with windows explorer on your pc/desktop.
Sounds for ringers, sms an email are usually put into Applications/sounds folder.

There is no right click options in windows mobile, though multiple files can be selected using a file explorer called total commander, I don't believe the native built in file explorer has this option. Also when used in total commander, you have to select the option to engage the multiple file option before it works.

The only other way would be if you used your desktop pc's window explorer to transfer the files onto the phone, as there is no right click option, but press an hold to highlight in windows mobile.

I strongly suggest total commander for use on your phone, it is arguably the best file explorer there is for it, as well as it has a virtual dual window viewing option that is very handy for manipulating files on wm.

Hope that helps you some, oh if the sound files are to be used for ringers, they can be put in a folder called my ringers in my documents on the phone.

Peace

Thanks for your quick reply man! I was wondering if there is an easier way to create playlists for the WMP included with the Expo (it seems to me like a really cumbersome interface). I tried installing another player (Coreplayer) but it was not compatible with some video files. I am thinking along the lines of creating a playlist for let's say 50 videos, turn on the projector and let the playlist run while I become the bartender during the party (instead of having to click each video after the one playing is finished). I hope I made sense!

Absolutely..
Though to make a playlist with WMP, with the files it will play, I think the best you can do is to open the library an only select the files you want it to play in succession..or to remove the files from the library playlist once it's selected, watch as it will give the option to remove from the device, select just from the playlist.

For music, I use both WMP an Nitrogen, it's a nice media player for music and has some expanded features that are not present in WMP..

For videos, Coreplayer is one of the best, an I think it plays like WMP an will play what you highlight in its built in file browser, to see if you can select more then one file, like I mentioned there is no right click option, but there is a press an hold option that sometimes gives the multiple option. If not, select all the files an remove the ones you do not want, but watch for remove from device here as well.

Hope that makes sense to you and helps you to rock on with your phone... Smiley
