Okay, I'm having a ball downloading various apps. I have a huge storage card so I want all the apps I can get.

I know you can get them from the pre-installed Windows Marketplace and the Marketplace provided by FreePocketPC.com. Are there any other marketplaces out there or any websites that provide free apps?

Also, does anyone know where to get a Fandango app for the LG EXPO and/or a Myspace app? Thanks everyone for all the answers you've given me so far.

My Space for WinMo seems to have been vaporware. It was supposedly available on Marketplace around November, but it's not there now and I can't come up with the cab anywhere. The marketplaces you have are pretty good ones, also you can google for winmo apps, there's a lot out there, it's just not as easy to find as for other platforms.

Are these apps any good and will they work even with tweaks done to the phone? (tweaker, net3.5)

My favourite place to hunt for new and interesting apps is xdadevelopers.com

go to the forum section and look under windows mobile apps and games and software development.

If you like something you find there remember to donate to the developer.

P.S. be a little careful about what you try to install... some apps are written for specific phone models and resolutions. Just so you know you should look for apps designed for a wvga resolution (480 x 800 pixels)

Some awesome apps I got from xda...

1) Chainfires open GL driver (graphics driver)
2) Freda (ebook reader)
3) Showaco's Titanium weather plugin (a weather plugin that works on your titanium home screen)
4) Grooveshark mobile (a grooveshark client for listening to online music)
5) Sirius WM5 (A sirius radio client which lets you stream sirius radio over the internet)
6) A nice selection of themes for your phone search for kenchan themes he makes awesome themes.
7) TCPMP (the best free media player on any mobile device currently available!)

the list goes on....

Iphone and android like to think they have the apps market cornered. However, in most cases the similar apps are available for windows mobile and have been for years. It just takes some searching. What I like to do is think of an app i need for my phone and search for it using google. More often than not I find what I need for free and because windows mobile has been around for years most of the bugs have been ironed out long ago.

Anyway if you're still having trouble finding some great apps let me know and I will help you with a list of must haves.
