Hello everyone --

My Expo is set to deliver this afternoon. I feel like a latecomer to the smartphone/Expo scene, but I am excited to learn what can be done with it. At this point, I don't know what I don't know, so I'll be spending lots of time exploring the device and the boards. Thanks to all who contribute and help noobs like me!

Hello DramaticGorilla and welcome to the forum! (first a vanilla one, now a dramatic one, oh my!)

By the time you see this reply you will have hopefully already received your shiny new Expo and started playing with it already. I know I was like a kid in a candy store for the first few hours I had my Expo. Fortunately my fiancee was understanding and didn't pout at being ignored completely for a electronic device for 6 hours straight, lol.

I highly recommend the Expo/IQ Tweaker created by our own Woodhole, which you can find in my signature, to apply most of the tweaks and fixes discovered in this forum with one easy-to-use app. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask - we're a very helpful bunch of people here.

Thanks, RC.  I do have phone in hand now & am loving it but also a bit overwhelmed! The Today screen is a bit annoying, but maybe Woodhole's Tweaker or other solutions will help with that. I also have an issue with the Facebook app hanging on "getting user ID", but I watched Dark's 'posting' video & am quite hesitant to raise questions until I've had a chance to browse the board a bit more.  Wink

If anyone has suggestions of beginner Expo threads/steps on this board or elsewhere, then I would be grateful.

Would like to contribute a "Welcome to the forum" myself. (We gorillas gotta stick together.) Like RC pointed out, the Tweaker app is must-have for an eXpo. Our chef's been cookin' some tasty roms, if you feel the LG rom is just too cluttered. Lots of good info here about. Have a look around and have fun with that shiny new addiction, er, eXpo.

Anything is overwhelming at first, though we catch up fast. The Expo should be no different for you, then, your ready to start flashing Roms  Grin

About that comment, being worried about posting, don't, look around, see if you find something on what your working on and if you hit a trouble spot, speak out or pound your chest Smiley

We all, need help at some point.

Anyhow, Enjoy the new phone, its hot, and enjoy the forums.

I feel much better now after discovering the LGIdle shell - I prefer it greatly over the Today screen. It looks like SPB is the shell of choice form many here, but I need to wait awhile before spending the extra $$.

Also got Sprite, ActiveSync & MS MyPhone (after a couple of uninstall/reinstalls) working . I plan to install Expo/IQ Tweaker tonight.
