Welcome to the forums.

I recently took a 9 hour trip from North East Ohio to Southern Illnois and used Bing as a GPS for Turn by Turn directions. You can download it of Windows Marketplace. There is no monthly subscription fee involved and it works very well.

Also on these forums is a cab file with some update GPS drivers which were ported from the GW825V which is the Hong Kong version of our phone. These are the updated drivers which seem to work better that the stock from the phone.

Welcome to the forum Wicked ZZ - glad to have you.

Bing's navigation works pretty well, and good old Google Maps directions and GPS tracking of where you are along your route are even more precise (once you install the GPS update Baltogok mentioned). Keep your eye on Google Maps in the future: they have Navigation (turn-by-turn audio directions) working well on the android platform, and will probably start integrating it into all versions of Google Maps soon.

Also, if you aren't going to use AT&T's nav service, you might want to call them and cancel it ASAP - before you're automatically subscribed and get charged for the month.

Again, welcome.

RC

Wanted to add my welcome to the forums as well. My GPS of choice is Garmin XT. Our sister forum for the Incite (lg-incite.com) has a very easy to follow tutorial for Garmin, if that interests you. You could also look over at XDA for winmo GPS apps if you want something that works without a data connection (like Garmin & Tom Tom). When you get settled with your GPS, you should definitely look into Woodhole's Tweaker, a very easy way to apply most of the communty's collected reg edits. If you get to the point where you think you're ready for a custom rom, our excellent chefs have you covered. In the mean time, we got a lot of good people and good info around here. Have a look around and have some fun.

And myself to the list to welcome you to the forums, albeit somewhat late Smiley

Myself, I bounce between Google an Bing maps.

Enjoy that new phone friend, and the forums.

just had my eXpo replaced and will have to go through the Garmin set up again to get a new unlock code. I can post the instructions text file, but you still have to download the application and it comes with the text file. I will check and make sure the download link still works. If it doesn't I can post the file to mediafire.

Here's an update: The 4shared download link is still active. Just copy the URL and paste it into the address bar of your browser. It makes you wait like 90 seconds, then click download. The file is a zip which you can extract to get the app, tools and instructions. You can PM me if you need more help, this thread is getting a little off track. BTW, I have the same user ID at both forums, the Incite forum is probably a better place for this discussion as it pertains to one of their tutorials.
