I was hoping to get the Pantech Laser with my most recent upgrade but as a mom of two and with xmas and birthdays in the mix, even the 99 dollar price tag was just too much at the moment -

So after looking every day at the laser for a few weeks.. Suddenly  ATT posted the LG eXpo for free - .. I researched it and found that CNET gave it high reviews and while it was windows 6.5 it seemed like a decent phone - so I got it..

I just got it tonight and I've upgraded to 3.5.net and the tweak cab that was on this site -

so far my biggest complaint is the touch screen is a bit fussy (I had an LGVU prior) and the sync tool keeps loosing my phone for no apparent reason -

other than a few minor quibbles about not being able to set custom text message notifications (don't care for there default ones) .. it seems like a decent little phone..

btw this forum has been awesome.. every time I was trying to figure something out I found the answer here!

Wink Great to have you on board!

I have found that going to darks cooked rom has been the best solution for everything. Fixes a lot of issues and includes the best most stable reg tweaks and fix's. Just go to rom development thread and you will find it as the first entry. Do not get confused as I had done with the instructions all you have to do is choose either the IQ or Expo file and execute it.

Any q's post back and someone will help you.

Glad to have the late entry.
