Hello all.... just joined a few days back!

I'm eligible for an upgrade in 2-3 weeks and since I'm on AT&T was looking at the expo and tilt2...

I currently have a Fuze (and original tilt) and have enjoyed the HTC line for well over 2 years now, but since the HD2 is a t-mobile us exclusive I have been eying the Expo as it's AT&T's only snapdragon based phone. The tilt 's only issue for me current;y is that it's not a real upgrade over the fuze spec wise (other than the screen).

the ONLY thing about the expo i'm not too happy about, but can get over, is the g-sensor support...

Hi godashram, Welcome to the forums Wink

Upgrading and or replacing a model of phone can be challenging to get something you can live with, though with the Expo/IQ, its pretty easy to forget earlier phones.

It needs to be tweaked, no doubt about it, It has to be done to make it smooth, Just like any other smart phone I've owned, And luckily, I have the links in my signature for a Tweaker App and Custom roms for the phone by our own forum members, "Woodhole" and "Dark".

So make yourself at home here, and enjoy that new phone when you get your hands on it.

Peace

upgrading/replacing phones luckily isn't much of an issue for me.... my fuze gets upgraded with a new/upgraded rom every few weeks and because of work, i swap between my fuze, tilt, blackjack and iphone quite often! the unfortunate part is that my job only provided the iphone, which i only use for pocket god!

i'm hoping to take a shot making my own rom once the expo's here (wow, 3 weeks away due to some contract mix-up between my 1st and 2nd lines )

also plan to grab the projector and tv-out cable (for my car) around the same time.

Welcome to the community godashram. The eXpo is truly a great phone. As for the g-sensor, chainfire has developed a g-sensor emulator for the eXpo/IQ that can be found here:

http://www.chainfire.eu/#/articles/70/LG_Expo_GSensor

It's not 100%, but it is better than what LG gave us.

Glad your considering the eXpo and hope to see you around.

well, after at&t's iphone preorder fiasco, i was FINALLY able to order my expo!

should be here tuesday. here's to hoping my data plan didn't get touched!

update:
Amazon phone support fed me the wrong info and i lost my unlimited data plan for 1 hour.... at&t actually fixed the "error" for me, so i'm back to unlimited status again.

Update#2
The expo arrived  and i'm loving it!
