Hello all,

I'm new to this forum, well a long time lurker but I'm finally registering.

I don't have an expo yet as I'm sort of excited for the Dell Streak, but should the Streak not be what I am expecting it to be I'm back to my original pick of the Expo!

Nice community here Smiley

Hello Oreynid, Welcome to the forums. Wink

Always good to see someone researching and scoping out there future purchases.

If you have been hanging, you know about the the tweaks and roms we have for the phone already.

With the Dell, it may take a while before any support for it builds up, so hopefully they got it right out of the gate and it doesn't require updates right away.

Peace and good luck to you on your decision.

Thanks.  I'm still using my BlackJack 1 which I will have had for 3 years this August.  I'm fairly interested to see if Dell will hit their target of releasing Android 2.2 around Sept. or so.

Both the Streak and the eXpo meet the requirements for my next device since they have GPS, wifi, fast processor, and high speed cellular data.  The eXpo has the nod for having a keyboard, and well, exchange is fully integrated thanks to being a Microsoft product.  The Streak captures my attention because of the 5" screen, and the potential for it to be a very good multimedia device.  It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.  Supposedly with Android 2.2, the stock mail application has better exchange support.  The only downside is the lack of a physical keyboard.

User reports of the eXpo are good, and the Streak will be out on O2 next month, so hopefully I'll be able to compare reviews.  The next phone/device I get will need to last me another 3 years or so.

Welcome to the forums. Great to have you here. I remember doing the same thing before deciding on the eXpo. I went over all the reviews and specs of all the phones available, but ultimately I choose the eXpo because of the snapdragon processor and the fingerprint scanner. Of course my love of LG phones was also a factor. The Dell Streak seems like it's going to be good, but I'm not an Android fan. I'm sure whichever one you choose you'll be happy with it.
