Looks very promising, stats came out today. If Windows 7 is an epic fail, I might need to switch over to the android side for my next phone.

I bought my eXpo fully expecting it to be my last Windows phone. I could have waited for WP7, HTC's Desire or iPhone 4 but they are too locked down for me. I figure by the time I upgrade again, Android should be more established with a better library of apps. Also, maybe by then AT$T won't be crippling the Android phones they sell or I can choose a device with hot gooey rom goodness available.

The Droid X looks pretty good. Like to see one on HSPA+.

HTC actually has a new Android phone for AT&T. It's the HTC Aria. AT&T's selection of android based phones is a little sparse, so this looks like a pretty good addition. http://www.htc.com/us/products/aria-att?view=1-1&sort=0&filters=1-0-0#

UPDATE: Nevermind about this phone. It's apparently a small phone with only a 480 x 320 resolution screen. It's more of a mid-to-low level android device. AT&T apparently doesn't like android and has only added this one to the lineup to get people to shut up about them not having a droid phone. The Droid X looks like a beast though. Almost makes me want to jump ship and go to verizon.

If it turns out like the Motorola Droid/Milestone, Where as the Droid went Verizon (CDMA) the Milestone the twin of it, went to to Telus (HSPA+) then your set, if it can be imported an unlocked right away.

I kind of suspect this myself, my wife is probably going to wind up with the X, as their is no alternative here really, thats acceptable anyways.

All I can say with %1000 certainty is that, no (F)Apple (Mobile) product is welcome into my home, now or never. Cheesy

For those of us stuck with AT&T, have an upgrade coming still, or didn't use theirs yet (like me) this looks pretty good if you're thinking maybe Android:

1 Ghz Hummingbird processor, hmmm....

That looks alright as well, but the specs were a little light. 16GB internal storage/expandable to 32 is cool. My issue isn't often storage, I'd like to know how much ram. Flash? Radios? WiFi? HSPA+ or just HSPA? I think I will go android next time around but I will need more info before I can decide. Hell, got a year to figure it out.

@VG: much more complete specs are on phonearena.com - click on AT&T to filter, then click the ''upcoming'' tab and you'll find it.

Phone looks pretty nice. I never liked the weird indented bottom part on the original droid/milestone. The Droid X looks much better, I'm one of those people who insist on a hardware keyboard though  Undecided

Looks like a pretty nice phone. What's with these phone manufacturers not giving any love to the built in flash?? It's got a 5mp camera, but no flash? Hell the iPhone 4 even has a built in flash and they take forever to add stuff people want.

Before I got my eXpo, I checked that site every couple of days. Haven't checked back since my dragon showed up. Went to full specs and still couldn't find ram. Built in Wireless N and 3.5mm jack are nice. Does AT$T still lock down apps? And, like spidertech says, where's the flash?

Hummingbird? Really?
