So it looks like I have to send in my phone AGAIN. I've needed to for a while and was just in denial. I have been trying different roms and the same problems exist in each rom so I know it's not the software. It's mainly with the BT though, but the random resets, crashes, and email/txt msg lockups requiring reboots are NOT fun and I finally had enough.

I went and upgraded my wife's line (since I only upgraded to this phone not even a year ago) and got the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. I have been wanting android and if it comes to the expo then awesome, but I can't wait for a working phone any longer. I got this one now since I can't be without a phone while LG tries to "fix" mine. I'm already loving this phone and when I get my expo back or get a replacement my wife wants it. She's using the tilt 2 that I got the last time I had to send the phone in, but she really likes the expo.

It's times like this that make me think of just how messed up it is that LG pretty much just said "fuck it" and forgot about this phone and the problems it has/had. Hopefully it will get replaced and won't have the issues it has now.

I'll still come to the forum and provide any assistance I can since I'll still have the phone when I get it back. Now that I actually have an android device to work with along with the SDK I can actually work more on seeing how to make a custom version when I have the time.

lmao Cheesy

I'd be surprised if you get an Expo back from them in all honesty, they might try an update you to a Fathom or the like.

My Carriers has completely dropped the IQ, less then nine months in, great support indeed.

LG, did they ever acknowledge some of the main issues with temperamental bio scanner, and its coating?
(Not even mentioning the resistive screen which in all honesty, is the worst I have ever used.)

Mine may go under a bus when WP7 handsets release in my city, I know this is horrible coming from an Admin of the LG Expo/IQ site, though I feel they left us with no choice but to point out how sad their involvement is with a product they made.

Love the style of this phone an the possibilities it possessed, but without Dark, Woodhole an others, it would have been nothing more then a rock caught between the wheels of a city transit bus.

Well, I hope they get it back an fully working for you Spider, its a sweet qwerty phone, when tweaked!!!

I would add, hope to see you on the gaming circuit of XBox mobile, but,..... You would have to join us WinMob fans with a WP7 phone hehe.

Make sure you stop by the new site an register, never know, the sirens call may be too much to resist when WP7 hits android an ios between the eyes... Cheesy

Spidertech,

I am also sorry to hear about youre long suffering issues with the expo.

For me apart from a few minor issues that have been solved with updating roms and such the phone has worked quite well.

In my experience, my expo runs a hell of a lot more smoothly on WM 6.5 than WM 6.5.x. In fact after switching back to WM6.5 (based on V10g) after WM 6.5.3 I notice that everything is a little bit more stable.

Anyway, good luck with it I hope you get it sorted in the end.
