I see the Apollo is running the same chipset as the IQ, QSD8650, now, and not the Dual Dragons it was initially rumuored with.

It is running at 1.3Ghz in that phone, i hope, and i suspect, someone will be able to give us access to the multiplier an FSB sooner or later on this chipset so we can, when we like, boost up a bit.

That would make our phones, faster the Ipda, lol i know, my spelling/typos, some are, on purpose.

What do you think, Willing to trade a few more villagers for a little more fire if you could?

The last time I overclocked a smart phone was my Dell Axim X51V.. ok so it’s a PDA and not a phone but with 667 Mhz processor I wanted to see just how fast I could get this thing to go... results... it worked!... although you could no longer hold the thing and having a block of ice to have it sit on would have helped a tad!... not to mention the dismal battery life going down the drain to less than half the expected charge time.

It worked but the question became why bother?... just because it’s there Smiley
...I still have that same device, I use it to beta test everything (non-phone related), only now it spends most of its days docked... and no longer overclocked.

The thought of having a snapdragon overclocked begs the question...why?.... not fast enough?
It be nice to say 'yes, it can' but in the end, why bother?

I'd be happier if they gave us a real UI to work with if I can get a six year old device to run WM 6.5 and keep up with today's new devices, imagine what we should be able to do with the Expo/IQ? Smiley

Yeah, i miss overclocking my Ipaq's too.

It really helped them out.

On this phone, if i can, i most certainly will find a sweet spot between boost an villager population.

I see now in specs, Ipad A4, is a Twin of the Tegra2 chipset, interesting, multi-core with dedicated gpu cores but sharing same L1,L2 caches an benefits, at least from what i have gathered just now.

Back to our Dragons, If she can handle 1.3 with just a higher loss of battery power, Sign me up.

I hear you about optimized code, i do, though, by the time code reaches maturity it is aging usually.
New apps, games, geotagging an graphics shader model 3.0, we need the oomph too.
