Hello everyone!

So right now its Christmas time and I have been debating on this projector. I have seen nothing but good reviews on it from you guys and all over the web, and I personally love it. Only problem... is $169 US worth it?

I would absoulutely love projecting videos onto a wall and sharing pictures (of course the brag rights to) but 2 problems are...

One we reside in Canada, on the TELUS network, my assumtion is seeing as the settings are on this phone theirs no issue with that. But I had to know, if we walked in to AT&T and asked to order one, would we get turned down?

Now the Second thing is just... is it worth it for $169? I do honestly think I would use it, videos are my passion and I love using the flash on our phone, as well as the shear awesomeness that my phone would be a projector!

Thoughts?... Thanks!

The only downside to the projector that i could find is that you cant keep the phone on charge whilst projecting if you want to use external speakers. You need the microUSB port to use the 3.5mm jack. If you intend to watch movies off the device this could suck because i dont know if the battery life would get you through a whole movie. So the trade off would be power or sound?

That kinda sucks unless there is a splitter out there somewhere that i dont know about.

Just wanted to chime in with reguard to the last post.  I have the projector and I picked up a Bluetooth set of speakers.  I can plug the phone in while using the projector and use the bluetooth speakers for external speakers.  I have the ability to run as long as I want and as loud  Smiley  Also if your interested in doing this with a PSX emulator you can project a 6' screen use bluetooth speakers and a PS3 Bluetooth controler and play games till your hearts content.

Yeah the Projector is pretty cool.

One night "Dark Night" I was projection the movie Gladiator on the side of a building about 15' and was a lot of fun as still amazingly watchable.

P.S. Check out my review in the accesories section.  Altec Lansing Bluetooth Speakers.  There are others similar and cheaper.

Thank you for your reply, I am ok with the no speakers and charging, because I plan on getting bluetooth headphones or speakers soon.

Also in regards to the projector quality, what is the maximum size you can project it to well still having a nice view (eg not way to dark, and blurred) also is it a decent resolution at that size?

Also how bright is it in a real life situation? Like if i had it in my room with only say the ceiling light on? or only a desk light on? (or no lights to i guess) and also how easy was it to show and use in a more public are like to share pictures?

The projector is using a bright LED as its light source and it really is not much brighter than say a good LED Flash light.  The resolution is fairly good I can clearly read text and like I was saying I've projected out 6' screen size in my house in a dimly lit room and it looked really good.  If you compare it to a standard say Desktop Projector it is seriously laking in brightness.  I would imagine it is only around 20 or 30 lumins and most projectors of size are starting at 500 and up in lumins but they are using bulbs that cost $300 just for the bulb.  If you were going to make a presentation using say power point and you had a white board, you can project out to say about a 2 to 3 foot screen size and be able to do it in a room with the  lights on.  And have very good detail and visibility.  Beyond that you need to start reducing the ambiant light.

Hope that helps.

If you are looking for brighter there are a couple of aftermarket Projectors that are starting to use some brighter LED's and with the Video out cable that is availible out of the UK you could use one of them if you  want a brighter projector.  I just don't think that is any were near as cool as having it mount right to the phone like we can on the Expo/IQ's
