I haven't experienced any problems so far. *knock on wood* I have an IQ though so it may be different..

@modry same here. I don't have any antenna problems with phone calls or GPS. Sounds like a lame excuse.
The only issues I've had is syncing via USB cable. I now use a bluetooth dongle or an App called WiFi remote access.

Thanks for the heads up on Wifi remote access, I've been looking a program like this! I was gonna try to set up an FTP server on my phone but the only freeware one I found wasn't very good Sad

My opinion on the disappearance of the eXpo is not antenna problems or even supply issues. I think they are planning on re-releasing the eXpo with 6.5.3 on it and they are waiting until it is officially released which should be soon.

Windows 6.5.3 looks nice but if we do get it i will have an issue. Should I run spb or more finger friendly windows?

@Dark Hope your right about that and hope they allow us to upgrade.
At the very least we should have a ROM to do some cooking with.

If we get a 6.5.3 rom great, but if we at least get a update then we can make a 6.5.3 rom.

Well I've wondered when someone would ask this question.  Being in the Design field and knowing what LG Spent to develop this phone and seeing how all of a sudden AT&T and LG seem to have prettended like it didn't exist, there had to be a business reason for it.  While I could understand a systemic issue seeing all the tweaking folks on this forum have done and the level of tech savy people doing the testing if there was a major problem, we would have seen it by know.

The other option was LG was planning on releasing this with either 6.5.3 or much more likely WM7 before it became Window Phone 7 and Microsoft changed their game plan.  It would make sense that LG would want to be the provider for the Game changing Windows phone OS.  Just look at the LG test platform that they have shown Windows Phone 7 on, looks alot like the Expo with some mods.

I still love the phone and Can't wait personally till we get an upgrade and some cooking can begin.

I'm also not really happy with what Micrsoft is saying about the Windows Phone 7 OS and how they plan on controlling all the apps.

Oh well  :-)

I caved, bought an Xbox360.

lol

If LG abandons us Expo/IQ owners, I hope they least give us one update, so Dark can get access to the Rom.

Though,... I wonder IF, The 6.5.3 an up Updates, might not cannibalize WP7 sales...Omg that would make them pucker up a bit.

YES I did have antenna issue's. I received my first eXpo the second week of January after much headache with AT&T(order was on BO with no ETA. After I hounded them and threaten to cancel my service's with them, a phone magically appeared and was shipped to me. They also were so kind and gave me a $100 for my trouble....)

My issue was with call quality. People could hear me fine, but all i heard was bits and pieces of there conversation. It sounded like the other person was going through a tunnel or something. After many hours with AT&T trying to update the phone, they told me my phone was defective and to order a replacement.

We wont go into the problems it took for me to get a replacement NEW phone from AT&T in February. But sure enough, one still shipped to me and I received it a few weeks ago.

All in all, my original eXpo had horrible reception and I am smack dam in the center of a full 3G Network in Austin. If this is the true 'defect' that has been holding up all the phones, I will be contacting LG once they resolve to get yet another replacement with the fix. So far my reception is decent, but not as good as it was on my Samsung Blackjack 2.

Would be interested in hearing if any other AT&T users out there have had this issue?

I had stupid service related issues with my original IQ.

The replacement works better (coverage and quality) than my cdma phone did.

Well maybe there is a little truth to the antenna bit after all...

I'm glad you got your antenna issues figured out and now you're also a happy LG IQ owner Smiley
