Update 8/21:
*    Because development has ceased, I've decided to release the 2.5 version of this ROM as well. I want to make it very clear that eXpoFlo 2.5 is a huge RAM hog -- even Opera Mobile doesn't render properly --- which is why I basically abandoned it. Still, if you want to try it out, be my guest. Past support/discussion can be found in this now-locked thread:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/(news)-first-sense-2-5-rom-for-expo/

Download link is located in a text file at the bottom of this post:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/(rom)-(open-beta)-first-sense-2-1-rom-for-expo-(over-70mb-ram-at-boot)/?action=dlattach;attach=590

Update 8/14:
*    Replaced Comm Manager with a newer version, seems to play nicer. Let me know if WiFi Router works (update: seems to work fine; bonus).
*    Added Google Maps, TCPMP, Opera (Mobile, though Mini consumes much less RAM), and working QuickGPS. Combined with GPS drivers from the GW825V, locks are super-quick. For best results, download QuickQPS data, then stand outside and run GPS Viewer. Once you get a first fix (takes about a minute), soft reset and run GPS Viewer again -- fix should be almost instant.
*    HTC Keyboard (Touch Input) kills the camera button's ability to trigger the shutter. No fix for this, just change SIPs when necessary.
*    For those who don't like global auto-rotate:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-how-to/how-to-make-a-app-use-the-rotation-sensor/msg364/#msg364
(thanks, WarRaven)
*    Facebook and MP3 Trimmer are in \Windows but don't have shortcuts in the Start Menu. If you want to see all the pre-installed apps on your phone, use Total Commander to navigate to \Windows and then click "Ext" in the "Name/Ext" column header. This will sort the files by extension, and you can just navigate alphabetically to the .exe section. For reference, there are 265 .exe files cooked into this particular ROM.
*    For those who miss the lockscreen, fingerprint lockscreen still works quite nicely.

Update 8/13: Sounds/Notifications bug squashed. New build uploaded. Comm manager is a bit wonky but still mostly functional. YouTube shortcut and .exe are in \Windows.

Update 8/10: Final version released. To change the wallpaper, replace file \Windows\tmo_wallpaper.png with a 480 x 800 PNG of the same name. You may need to delete the registry key HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\CachedBackground. Still no keypad beeps.

MAJOR BUG: Sound and Notification control panel is borked (including, uh, ringtone).
For now you can change the ringtone in the registry:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ringtone0\Sound

Update 8/5: Problem solved by porting XIP 21899 -- bye bye 80MB+ RAM at boot Sad

Update 8/4: Was noticing some Wifi issues, pulled the link until I can sort them out.

Think of this as a crowd-sourced ROM -- I built the base product but it needs quite a few troubleshooters and suggestions in order to become as polished as possible. With that in mind, please try to phrase the problems you find as bug reports, and not as complaints. Like most chefs, I'm just doing this for fun and don't really need any drama associated with this hobby.

Notes:
1. Hard reset after installation. For best performance, kill the stocks tab, crank down the brightness, and set SIPChange to FakeSip -- then soft reset.
2. Themes are problematic in the this build for some reason (it's 21749, the one that shippped with the eXpo). At the very least, I included a theme that turns the task and menu bars black.
3. "Contact" and "All People" softkeys in Sense are borked, I need to finish researching a fix.
4. HDWalls cabs are the best/only way to get customized wallpapers on all Sense tabs.
5. Didn't skin/organize the Start Menu on this first build.
6. Can't add links to Internet tab, probably a registry fix will cure.
7. As usual, flashing is done at your own risk. Support for this ROM is a privilege, not a right.
8. Download link is attached to the bottom of this post as a text file:
http://www.lg-expo.com/lg-expo-rom-development/(rom)-(open-beta)-first-sense-2-1-rom-for-expo-(over-70mb-ram-at-boot)/?action=dlattach;attach=555

Many thanks to:
Dark, for getting me started and troubleshooting when possible.
Bepe, Ervius, Chainfire, and the countless tool builders who've turned cooking into a spectator sport.
All the modders and coders who have provided so many fixes for all the problems with Manila clock, album, etc.

^^^  bc 2.5 is a hog and 2.1 rocks!!  can't wait...

for background changes, can't ppl just directly edit the manila files themselves?  i believe i've done that before with Manila Editor and a little research on which file(s) needed editing.  i am happy with plain black myself, but maybe that will help others..

just checking in.  flashed this late last night, so i haven't spent too much time checking this out.  so far as free RAM, it seems pretty similar to your 2.5 rom -- 50 MB off a fresh boot, settles around mid 20's for me.

the first thing i checked was playing videos, as this was a problem with the 2.5 rom.  i'm sorry to report that this version was even worse.  whereas previously on the 2.5 rom i could get video playing so long as the expand to full screen option was not checked, on this rom, i get no video at all, whether in portrait, landscape, full screen or not.  sound only.

i also noticed that the sound files for keypad dialing are missing.  minor issue, i can pull those from elsewhere.  on the 2.5 rom, they were missing for tone and voice, but not beep.  on this one, all of them appear to be missing.

and of course as originally stated, 'all people' doesn't like to work and just crashes sense altogether.

hope this helps.  would be awesome to see this 100%.  thanks for the time and effort for this rom, still prefer it greatly to 2.5

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated. Few questions:

Are the RAM numbers you quoted off a fresh install or after you load up software? You should be seeing higher numbers.

What media player are you using?

I'll be releasing a new version tonight with some bugfixes.

Edit: Just tested a sample mp4 file in both WMP and HTC Album -- played fine in both. Hopefully this new build solves your prob.

new build, awesome!!

those numbers were from a fresh build, and the the usage number was after clicking around a few tabs, launching programs, closing them all and running clean ram on level 2.  i have stock tab disabled but didn't try out fakesip yet.  i have never used that program before, but it sounds so so cool.  i really cannot stand the onscreen keyboard and never use it.  didn't put tweaker on yet.  ** edit **  just checked RIGHT off a fresh reset and had 70 MB, but that dropped pretty quickly.  also had to reboot bc i was down to 3MB at one point with no apps running.  cleanram may have resolved that but it wouldnt even launch due to the low resources lol.  so the highs are definitely higher but so the lows seemingly.  i will hang out for the next build before i install more apps and test more.  oh also the music tab works much better in 2.1.

i tried running the mp4s in windows media player.  and strangely enough, i tried to view videos through htc but when i browsed in via htc album, it kept launching in WMP anyway.  not sure what was up there   Huh

looking forward to the new build!  i won't get too settled with this one.  thank you!
