wa wa wa i guess no one really wants this feature but me. well let me see what i have found if anyone wants to know
of course i had to analyze XDA for how the heck they did it it will require a dll file with the icons and some registry settings to be set im am hoping theoretically that if i modify the functiondll required to have 100 images of the battery as a percent there will be a way to do it to our phone of course i dont have that capability right now because i have icofx only at my disposal and no time soon getting visual studio . so i will post any updates i have if i can get them and hopefully release it as a cab file for all to enjoy. assuming of course my theory is right Sad

Myself, I use Battline, which puts a 2 pixel coloured line at very top off the screen for a quick visual glance of how my power is doing..

XDA BattLine

Kinda handy, may not be for every one though..

Sorry if I am misinterpreting your problem...but can't you just install a custom taskbar?
http://www.lg-expo.com/third-party-lg-expo-applications/taskbar-icons/
(I personally use the Brain taskbar and it has percentage for the battery as well as Battline)

And if the taskbar is the solution you wanted then you'll also need this to fix the network icon issue:

I have a battery-as-percentage-and-graphic icon on my taskbar that I think is what you are describing the look of, but it's part of QuickMenu (which is free). It can be set to just percentage, just graphic, both, or memory and battery combo.

See attached screenshot.

My question is: if this is the look of what you want to do, if you installed it could you then take it apart and reverse-engineer perhaps to get the WinMo battery icon to do the same perhaps?

Yeah, QuickMenu has become one of my ''must have'' utilities. So many little useful bits in one tiny app. And being free helps too. It was about the first thing I put on my Expo, and if I ever cook a rom (don't hold your breath anyone!) it's definitely going in there.

Thanks for the compliment on the shell I put together, I'm pretty pleased with it myself. The menu bar is there, just invisible. So are the email, vmail & missed call status icons. You can only see the SMS one because I had an unread text at the time.

Found the cab for QuickMenu & attached it for you Smiley

That is boss its tiny as hell and very efficient no lag or anything actually might throw this in my rom awesomeness!
attached is a screen of how the icons at the top i have done are of course if you want the icons cuz they are colored i attached them as well in a rar file they are all the files that control the icons at the top the only ones i havent found are the reminder icon i found the dll but if i change it while cooking it doesnt work but not important. just throw them in your windows directory overwriting the rom ones it will make a backup of course cuz its rom not ram if you like you keep if you dont just delete them and your back to the white icons.
