Dark, is a cooking god an has made these phones so much more then they could have been stock.

He's a busy fella for us all.
He also can't be responsible for so many things beyond his control, and or know how everyone is going to load up their individual phones with maybe say, buggy programs of their own.

Dark has done us well by removing a lot of crap that made this phone almost useless in its stock form, and as well with tweaks an patches from not only this forums members but others too have helped to make it so enjoyable now.
Like in any rom though, there is always a possibility for unseen issues that can crop on some users, from freezes/Glitches to full out right locked up scenarios....Thats where this thread comes in.

I am opening this thread an maybe others, to help take the strain off of Darks Rom thread where Rom info should be, and issues/problems here.
Where we can add a thread or remove one once its beyond usefulness without hurting the Rom thread itself.

We are going to make over the rom thread soon, with pertinent info, install info, links etc.. an try an keep it clean an relevant to new users an old alike.

I will make this an announcement an sticky too, so we all know where to look, an what to expect down the road.

As well, when posting into this thread with an issue, give us as much relevant info as possible, If we/I have to chase you for it, it gets old quick.

Thank you all for your understanding.

Edit for update:  I ask that if you are still having a current issue, that You, copy an paste your issue over an into this thread, other wise I could be possibly transferring over, a lot of useless posts.

Thank you

I've noticed that the phone is running rather slow at times. I want to say that it is because of the LG task Manager being enabled, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm looking into some solutions and I'm currently testing some right now. Hopefully I will have one soon.

Curious, are you using the tweaker app, and if so, try un-selecting the "Enable in call recording" feature.
Since, I have not seen a slow down, though it may not have anything to do with it.

WarRaven, Good going .. and how is it going ? Smiley

the Dragonstorm is great, and im enjoying it so much,

my onley down side about it, is the sms notifications ..

i have S2U and it wont show on the lock screen if i have an sms, i even had SPB shell installed and it wont show that i have a new unread sms.

i hardreseted and reflashed many times, but still no go!

it would be nice if i can get somehelp on that!

thank you

ps.  its been the case for the last 4 or 5 versions of the Dragonstorm Rom!!

Hey Tiger Smiley

Doing fine thank you, busier then a one legged man in an ass kicking contest lately hehe.

Ok, joking aside, it seems the latest 23139 had fixed the spb no new text showing from what I have seen in the rom thead, at least no one mentioned it not working after the latest rom. Where as it pretty common prior on the 23138 rom.

Have you flashed this one on your phone, if not, Dark seems to have nailed it, an perhaps we can ask him nicely if the reg edits he added if that was done to cure to it, may be possible to just edit the registry an fix yours without flashing. Though I would suggest trying the new rom 23139 for best results.

Or, if you can wait a little spell, Dark is always busy on these, may have another update out soon from his posting this morning.

Dark must have these roms burnt into the backside of his eyelids by now, as the roms are showing near perfection now. Cheesy

Peace

I can definitely verify that the SMS notification issue is in fact gone (I run SPB MS 3.5.3)

The ONLY issue I can find is in MS Voice Command - incoming phone announcements ALWAYS go to the speaker instead of via BlueTooth.  SMS announcements, Task and appointment reminders act as expected.

That and having a bit of a memory squeeze....  not sure if it's a WM or SPB memory leak....

Rock On Dark!!

I stopped using SPB for the memory hog it was.. Every time I tried it,same result.

Thank you for the feed back on the Sms issue, Tiger may find that worth while enough to flash to the latest rom.

Dark did good with this one.

Hey Tiger, I think your Sms issues are a thing of the past friend.
And of course, enjoy your new rom Wink

I am pretty happy with it myself.

well i had a major problem the as of yesterday, my phone started to lag up so i rebooted it. when it started back up it had totally formatted itself and was on the screen align screen.  so i re-setup the phone and attempted to restore my sprite backup file.  after first attempt i was getting all sorts of errors when phone rebooted.  tried again and after that point it just totally hung on the initial orange windows boot screen and would not move from that totally dead in the water now.
my next try i had to do a hard reset with the buttons since phone would not boot (turn on, hold volume down - task button - end call button)  and that worked finally.   but same thing ended up happening again where phone froze up i had to reboot then it went back to hanging up on the initial orange windows boot screen.
i ended up just calling in to att for a replacement.  this damn thing is screwed up.
well i am running the newest rom 23139 for a few days now and have run all subsequent dragonstorm roms and have never encountered this issue ever before.  so im trying to narrow down the problem if it is a glitch with the new ROM 23139 or if it was some fluke hardware failure.?  anyone else encounter something like this before.?

Honestly to myself, it sounds like a hardware screw up.

Where you running Leo's Speed hack and was it coincidently plugged in at that time?

It could have simply overheated possibly.

Has it recovered since this happened?
