I bet there are some of you out there trying to cook some roms, but are having trouble finding an xip.bin that matches the build you want. Well there is no need to look any further. I'm going to teach you how to build one yourself. First download the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel.zip (thank you Mars.C from DFT) which is attached to this post. Next you will need the original xip.bin and the OEMXIPKERNEL folder from your eXpo/IQ. I attached the both to this post. You will also need to download the files for the build you are porting. Next unzip BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel.zip. When you unzip there should be a few folders in a folder called BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel. Then follow the following instructions.

1. Place the contents of the new MSXIPKernel folder (from the ported build) into the MSXIPKernel folder (in the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel folder). Make sure to delete the readme.txt file.

2. Open the OEMDrivers folder (in the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel folder) and place the contents of the new MSXIPKernelLTK folder (from the ported build) in the MSXIPKernelLTK folder (in the OEMDrivers folder).

3. Go back to the OEMDrivers folder. Unzip the OEMXIPKERNEL folder and place the contents in the OEMXIPKERNEL folder within OEMDrivers.

4. Go back out to the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel folder and open the DumpRom folder. Unzip the xip.bin and place it in this folder. Now run unpack.bat. This will unpack the xip.bin. Copy the file romhdr.bin.

5. Go back out to the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel folder and open the ROM folder and past the romhdr.bin file in there. Delete the Readme.txt file.

6. Finally, go back out to the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel folder and run Buildxip.bat. When the windows pops up press any key to continue. If everything was done correctly a xip.bin will be created in the BuildXIP_Of_MSXIPKernel for your ported build.

No problem. Thought it might come in handy for those wanting to try their hands at cooking since the xip.bin's have not been provided lately.

Yea I've noticed that. Thanks Dark! This will make it easier to work with.
