Wow awesome tutorial Dark. Holy Complicated! but well worth it once you learn what everything does.
Question though When i was creating rom it gave me an error that there was TOO many modules rom wont boot
I checked the WM6.5 AKU option and it compiled correctly is that what you did? Thanks in advance so much potential for our expo finally haha i never realised how hard cooking baking cheffing was haha.

Thank you. I almost forgot to about that. I'll add it to the tut.

Dark, should I be concerned about this (see attached pic):

I guess it is a false positive, but just wanted to check..

It's a false positive. Sometimes AVs pick up some of the tools in the kitchen as a virus. My AV picks up the flasher builder (part h for the Incite only) as a virus, but it isn't.

Alright I FINALLY got this thing to run. WIndows 7 not friendly for this kitchen maybe 64 bit too but XP works great and so fast i should have thought of it way sooner.
Anyway the tut is great simple to use its got the UC tweaks that can be added which is a HUGE plus for anyone who wants to have it install its programs and automatically setup email accounts. Dark you the man!
I do sadly have a question
I need a sound and picture for starting up I decided to hack the startupani.dll file from one of your other posts Dark but it seems it failed. I noticed in your Rom release you had the shutdown animation and sound working fine. Any tips?
I basically replaced the picture files in the original rom's startupani.dll and put the file where it is supposed to be. Cooked it and fired it up and it just shows the Orange windows welcome. Real bummer I was able to change the initial setup screen but thats the simple one. Is there any way to add a customizable startup sound and picture through the registry and bypass the troubling dll files? If there is Id greatly appreciate it i have searched high and low for a way and it seems you have the know how for anything anyone asks!
BTW Awesomeness was just released with this kitchen. its frustrating its fun and its better than an iphone!

If you are using the add-on package I provided you will need to restore a few reg settings. Attached is a cab that will do this. after installing it and rebooting the phone will know to use startupani.dd at startup.

Use the real 6.5 aku or you will get an error. Also I changed a step in the IQ building of the rom. When cooking an IQ rom you need to place the fwua.mbn in the Baserom\GW820 folder before you build the dz file. I thought it wouldn't matter when you place this file in there, but apparently it does. If you are using the add on package then move that file out of that folder build like you normally would and then place it back in the folder before creating the dz file.

A few things:

First you have a lot of packages that are duplicates, shouldn't be in a North American rom, or conflict with the LG stuff.

Get rid of:
BaseAppsFiles
Bluetooth - Already in the OEM
BronzeAH
BronzeEA
BTDUN
Bth_A2DP
Bth_HID
Bth_Watch
CommonEA
COMPLEXSCRIPT_FONTS
gb18030
LockscreenEA
MediaOSFiles
NonPhone
OSFiles
Perf
Riched20_CS
RIL710MUX
RMGR
SipAR
SMS_Providers - Already in OEM and causes conflicts if left in
UNISCRIBE
Webview_CS

Also, did you make sure to execute option d in the kitchen. This is needed for platformbuilder to work properly in the ervius kitchen.

ups spoke to soon lol, during the flash.bin build process, it tells me my imgfs is to big(partition 3), does this mean i made my rom to big?

Edit: also is there anyway to clean up the OEM folder?

Sounds like you it is. Try removing some of the packages you included.

With just the basic of files no EXT packages added just the required stuff my rom is 200mbs! gonna try using lzx compression and see what that does.

Otherwise im doing something wrong bc 200mbs is ridiculous lol.

Next thing im gonna look into is the OEMMISC bc i dont want alot of its crap lol

yea i must be messing something up..even with lzx compression im >200mbs...bla enough for today look more into it tomorrow...

Sounds like you messed something up somewhere along the way. I find when that happens it is best to start fresh.
