How to Flash your eXpo/IQ

I got my Expo today.  I flashed the base  rom exactly to instructions and it worked.
Next i tried flashing your rom exactly to your instructions and my computer gave me the Blue screen around 4% of the rom upgrade.

So i tried flashing the Base rom back, and when i plugged it in to flash while holding down the spacebar on the phone i did not get the emergency download screen. Just the green light turned on but blank screen.  It still flashed anyway, and it worked fine after that.

At this point the phone was working again.  I couldnt help myself and had to try Your rom again.

Well i got the blue screen again and my computer crashed.  So once again i tried to reflash the Base rom, but this time i get the blue screen with either rom.  Always at 4%.  So i can not turn on the phone anymore.


About my computer.

Four days ago, i reinstalled Windows XP on a new harddrive, did all updates including Service pack 3. So my computer has a very clean OS.

You replied fast!  Thanks.  I already fixed it.  I used my windows 7 Computer.

Strangely, i dont have any virus protection installed yet on my XP machine.  I havent installed any software yet, just updates on a clean OS. I wonder what the hiccup was?

Just kidding  You're right, I haven't gotten the chance yet to try the Virtual PC. Life has been rather....unaccommodating lately to devote the time I need for this. Hope to do so soon when things settle down a touch for me.
