Thanks everyone for the congrats, it's appreciated. And VanillaGorilla, I'll take your cautionary note under advisement  Wink

On another note, more in line with this thread's topic, I understand Dark that you posted the full OEM package in the first ROM post, and that all LG & AT&T nonsense can be lumped back in if desired.

However, I'll be honest, and I think I may be speaking for a few people here: Even once I get the XP virtual console or something going on my Vista box, I'm hesitant to flash a ROM that strips the OEM apps out almost completely, if the only other option is to reinstall the base ROM and be right back to square one.

I mentioned before how great it was with my Tilt to have entire listings of all extracted HTC apps (and AT&T too, if you're masochistic) from the phone listed individually as download links to CAB installers. You could strip the ROM skeleton-bare, and only have to add back in the few specific apps you used. It was perfect.

Now, I understand  Dark (and other chefs) that you're creating, crafting, and improving ROMs, it's hard work, and making CAB files of all the OEM crap you worked so hard to rip outta there is just not something you want to do, or even feel you should feel obligated to do. And you're right.

My question is simply this:

Where is our CAB-Making Hero who will step up and shoulder that task for our community?

I would be proud to be the one to do it, but just do not have the time right now, and my understanding of CAB-making is rudimentary at best. I wouldn't want flashers out there counting on my jerry-rigged CABs.

Just thinking out loud here folks....

Trying to put the new rom on, but when i try to install the drivers, it installs. Then i try to flash and it say that no phone is connected.
I'm on xp, put it in emergency mody and thats all i get. A box pops up saying to install drivers, but it just opens my main folder.
Not sure what to do, really want this rom.
Thanks

I have flashed my expo using Dark's roms and the base expo rom all without problems, except for where upon using the "selective rotation" option in Tweaker v.2.0, the program crashes.  I posted this in the Tweaker thread.

However, I'm posting this because I've noticed that whenever I flash to any of Dark's roms or even the expo base rom, I am able to get the flash program to run until 99%, whereupon it crashes.  It looks like that this is because the rom has been successfully copied onto the phone, and the phone immediately reboots, whereby the connection to the flash program is lost before the program can close.  The phone boots up and works perfectly though (save the selective rotation option in Tweaker).  I am running win7 32-bit.

Any ideas what problems this might cause?  You can check out the error message that Tweaker v.2.0. at the thread that I linked above.

I never gave this error much thought, since the phone works fine.

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE:  Nevermind.  I'm an idiot.  I didn't set the flasher program to xp sp3 compatibility.  Now it flashes my phone all the way to 100%. And Tweaker now works 100%.

I can't really seem to flash the new v4 update properly. I ran it xp sp3 compatible and as admin and installed it. But right when it gives me the update option and I go for it, the updater no longer appears. I even deleted and reinstalled the LGMOBILEAX folder but no luck.

Did you have any issues flashing any of the other roms? Did you trey disabling your anti-virus before installing? Someone else ran into an issue installing v4, but disabling the anti-virus solved that.

I tried that, not working. Same results. When I get the new update option V10D_00 and click yes, The flasher doesn't show up. The process doesn't even exist afterwords. Do i have to re-download it again?

There is something wrong there. The screen shouldn't say V10D_00 it should say DRAGONSTORM_EDITION. Sounds like the stock flasher is running for some reason instead of the flasher with the Dragonstorm rom.

I tried re-running v3 but gave me the v10D_00 as well. Your very first version however gave me the DRAGONSTORM_EDITION option.

My mistake. Sorry about that. It does say V10D. I thought I changed that, but I guess I forgot to. Are you still having issues flashing?

I noticed that even after putting the rom into xp compatability mode and checking the "Always run as administrator" check mark that i still had to right click and run as admin before it would unpack correctly, otherwise the files gave me errors.

Also Dark, i wanted to say thank you for all your hard work, the graphics on the ROM are excellent and im loving the updated phone. I do have a couple questions.

1. Has anyone had problems with their phone freezing. I have had mine flashed for an hour and half and had 2 freezes so far.

2. I was using SPB Mobile Shell but the start button being moved has made it so i cant access it with the shell running, Is there another program you recommend that will work better with the new start bar position?

3. What is Internet Calling, i dont recall this feature on the stock ROM?

Thanks again to all the contributors in this rom.

Hey baltogok,

I'm running SPB shell with one of those roms (start button at bottom). Even though the start button is no longer there you can still access everything through SPB shell (see the "launcher" button on main page of SPB shell).

Hope that at least helps with that part Smiley
